PURPOSE:To allow a terminal equipment to be exchanged and added and to decrease the storage area of a storage part in an ISDN exchange by storing terminal information corresponding to the kinds of terminal at noncorresponding to terminals by allocating a file number at every kind of the terminal in the storage part in the exchange so as to set file numbers corresponding to the kinds of terminal at a terminal adapter side. CONSTITUTION:The terminal adapter 2 is provided to connect between the ISDN exchange 1 and the terminal equipment 3. A terminal-classified information file 11 is prepared to the storage part in the ISDN exchange 1 in noncorresponding to the terminal at every kind of the terminal, to give the file numbers to respective files. On the terminal adapter 2-side, by contacting with pulse effective key 22 and depressing pulse generation display button 21, an AND output from an AND circuit 23 is supplied to a pulse counter 24 to generate a pulse from the pulse counter 24. This pulse is made coincident with the file number of the terminal-classified information file 11 corresponding to the kinds of terminal coinciding with the terminal equipment 3, as well as stored in a storage circuit 25.

易に対応することができるという効県がある。
