Abstract

PURPOSE:To print characters, figures or patterns on the surface of an expanded molded form by a method wherein expansion molding is effected to form desired recesses or projections on the surface of the molded form, thereafter, molds are opened to make a clearance, subsequently, the recesses are filled with beads with different foaming magnification and/or color or the like and two-layer molding is effected. CONSTITUTION:Molds are closed and high-magnification beads are introduced through a feeder A. During this period of time, the feeders B, C, D are stopped. Temporary fusion welding is effected by heating for a short period of time or pressurizing by the set pressure of 0.2-0.5kg/cm<2>, for example. The molds are opened and are set so that a distance between a fixed mold and an elastic body becomes constant. Different beads or low foaming magnification materials are blown through the feeders B, C, D into recesses so as to be fully filled with them. When the molds are clamped, high foaming magnification elastic bodies in the mold are pushed into the mold and will never come out while physical fusion welding condition between different introduced beads may be achieved. Heating and cooling are effected automatically upon finishing the mold clamping, then, a molded form with colored patterns, made by two-layer molding, may be taken out.

When packaging the contents of an outboard motor, etc., after packaging, the outer periphery of the foamed material is further covered with cardboard or film/sheets printed with letters, figures, patterns, etc. to improve the aesthetic appearance of the packaged product, advertising, or product image. Usually, the aim is to improve However, in this case, there is a drawback that it is very time-consuming and the cost of auxiliary materials such as gunpol increases.

The present invention solves the above-mentioned drawbacks all at once, and the first foam molding is performed by filling pre-expanded beads of synthetic resin such as polystyrene or polyolefin into a single mold, and the surface of the molded product is After forming recesses or protrusions in the same shape as the desired characters, figures, or patterns, the single mold itself is opened to create a gap that fits the recesses or protrusions, and then the initial foaming ratio and the foaming ratio are added to the gap. Or, a synthetic resin foam for packaging characterized by filling beads of different colors, etc. and forming two layers through a second foam molding, so that the foam molded product itself embodies letters, mouth shapes, and crest patterns. To summarize the method for manufacturing molded products, the two-layer molding referred to in the present invention uses a mold in which a concave part or a convex part corresponding to a desired character, figure, or pattern is provided on the side of the fixed part of the mold. First, pre-foamed beads are filled and heated for the first time, then the inside of the mold is opened to create a desired gap, and pre-foamed beads with a different expansion ratio, color, etc. from the first time are filled in the gap. Fill it. At this time, the size of the gap caused by opening the mold is smaller than the depth of the concave or convex part formed at the first time, or even if it is larger, the gap formed between the upper end of the concave or convex part and the edge of the mold. The gap must be such that the beads will not leak out. Then, the mold is closed and a second molding process is performed, either by normal heating or by applying force on only one side. In this way, desired characters, figures, or patterns are realized on the foam molded product itself, as if they were raised. In particular, when beads with a lower foaming degree than the first beads are used for the second filling, the appearance is particularly beautiful.
Moreover, it is suitable because it has high strength.

As mentioned above, the synthetic resin foam molded product for packaging, which is formed by two-layer molding using the manufacturing method of the invention, clearly embodies letters, figures, or patterns on its surface, and has a sufficiently beautiful appearance, so it is better than the conventional foam molded product. It is an invention with great practical value as it is not necessary to cover the outer circumferential surface with cardboard paper or the like printed with letters, figures or patterns as is the case with products, and the foamed molded product can be used as it is as a packaging material. be. It should be noted that the foamed molded product produced according to the present invention may be further packed and packaged with other wrappings, tapes, etc. before use.

Perform temporary fusion. If the beads are temporarily fused to the extent that they do not collapse, they will behave like a rubber-like elastic body inside the mold, so they will not bulge or pop out when the mold is opened in step (2). Open the mold while pushing the rubber-like elastic body into a three-sided shape with an eject air, open the gap between the fixed mold and the elastic body, and set the bottle so that the distance between the mold and the elastic body is constant. In addition, to be able to adjust the iJ during this time depending on the purpose, fill the feeders B, C, and D with different types of beads or bass single items at the fixed position set by a limit switch or timer at the time of photography. If the mold is tightened in step (3), the high-strength single elastic body in the mold will be pushed into the mold and will not come out from inside the mold, and will also be physically fused with the introduced beads. state. Once the molding and clamping are completed, the conventional heating and cooling processes are automatically carried out, and a molded product with a tone pattern created by two-layer molding can be taken out. 2. The synthetic sugar foam molded product obtained as described above has a clear shape or pattern, has a beautiful appearance, and can be used as is for packaging. It becomes a molded product with high practical value.
