4に対応した球面となつており、この部分にピボ
ツト球4を圧入嵌合してピボツト球4を可動状態
で保持することにより、ミラー1は一定の範囲内
で傾動自在に保持される。なお、ピボツト受けベ
ース5は一般に強度が高く弾力性に富んだポリア
セタール樹脂のような合成樹脂の成形品等が用い
られ、ミラーアセンブリの本体ケースに取付けら

ト受けの変形を阻止し、ピボツト球の離脱を防ぐ
ロツクピンを設けたものである。すなわち、ピボ
ツト球がピボツト受けから離脱するのは、ピボツ
ト球に離脱方向への荷重が加わつた時にピボツト
受けに変形が生ずるからであり、この変形を阻止
するためのロツクピンを設けることによつてピボ
ツト受けの変形が阻止され、ピボツト球の離脱が

によつてミラーを傾動自在に保持するようにし
たミラー保持装置において、上記継手部材は複
数個の弾性片によつて構成されるピボツト受け
にピボツト球を圧入嵌合してピボツト球を保持
する構造とし、ロツクピンをピボツト受けのピ
ボツト球挿入側端縁の外壁に当接させて弾性片
の外側方向への撓みを阻止するようにして、上
記ロツクピンによりピボツト球の離脱が可能と
なるようなピボツト受けの変形を阻止するよう
にしたミラー保持装置。 (2) ピボツト受けの一部を開閉可能なヒンジ片と
し、ピボツト球の組付け後ヒンジ片を閉じてピ
ボツト球を保持する構造の継手部材を用い、ロ
ツクピンをピボツト受けのヒンジ片の外壁に当
接させてヒンジ片の外側方向への開放を阻止す
るようにした実用新案登録請求の範囲第1項記
