Since the stroke amount of the reciprocating movement is large, the number of yarn feeders is limited. ■Durability is poor because the shaft support (rivet) that rotatably supports the latch relative to the hook member tends to rattle, and the latch tip and hook collide with each other, causing mutual wear. ■Since the latch opens and closes using a thread loop, it has drawbacks such as being unable to handle high speeds.

A compound needle was proposed that could achieve higher speeds and improve productivity by operating the needle.

In order to guide the reciprocating movement of the slide plate in the envelope body of the needle, that is, the hook member, this compound needle forms a hole with a rectangular cross section along the longitudinal direction, and the slide plate slides into this hole, that is, the cavity. It is configured so that it can be inserted freely.

Moreover, the slide plate must be held by the walls on both sides of the hole to prevent it from collapsing in the plate thickness direction or in the plate width direction, thereby ensuring proper engagement between the hook and the tip of the slide plate during operation. Therefore, when forming holes, high accuracy is required to determine the inner dimensions in the thickness direction and the inner dimension in the width direction.

60−59338号公報記載のものが提案されている。To this end, a compound needle described in Japanese Patent Publication No. 60-59338 has been proposed as a compound needle which eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks.

A slit that communicates with the body and the neck is provided, and the rear edge of the free end of the slider is supported by the supporting surface of the base of the slit, and the free end of the slider is prevented from falling outward, that is, as described in the above-mentioned prior art. The vertical edge of the recess is configured to prevent the plate from falling in the width direction.

いる。The compound needle proposed above has a structure in which the free end of the slider is slidably inserted into the slit in the hook portion, so the thickness of the free end of the slider must be made thinner than the width of the slit. As a result, the bending rigidity of the free end of the slider in the thickness direction is reduced, and there is a risk that bending deformation in the thickness direction of the slider free end may occur.

の問題点があった。If the free end of the slider is bent in the thickness direction, the engagement between the hook and the tip of the free end of the slider becomes unstable, reducing reliability. Further, like the holes in the prior art described above, the slits must be formed with a high degree of finish, making processing cumbersome. Moreover, since the slit has an arcuate concave edge at the rear end, wire rings tend to accumulate in this area, and by forming the slit, the plate thickness in the slit forming area becomes thinner, reducing the rigidity of the hook part. There were various problems such as:

The rigidity of the slide member (corresponding to the slider of the prior art) and the hook member are improved to prevent deformation of both, ensuring proper engagement between the hook and the tip of the slide member, and providing excellent workability and line-up. An object of the present invention is to provide a compound needle for a knitting machine that can prevent rings from accumulating.

A fitting portion of the slide member is fitted and supported in the guide support portion so as to be able to freely reciprocate, and a fork portion that is open longitudinally forward is formed on the slide member side of the hook member, and a fork portion that opens longitudinally forward is formed on the hook member side of the slide member. Open fork portions are formed, and these fork portions are fitted into each other so as to be reciprocally movable, and the open end of the hook gradually expands toward the fitted tip at the open position of the hook at the tip of the slide member. A fitting groove is formed that faces the opening hook.

Further, no thin wall portion is formed in the hook member. The falling of the slide member in the board width direction is suppressed by the fitting of the fork parts formed on the hook member and the slide member, respectively, and the hook-oriented fitting that gradually expands toward the tip formed at the tip of the slide member The leading end of the slide member and the hook are properly engaged by the guiding action of the mating groove.

It is possible to prevent the hook member 1 and the slide member 2 from being bent in the thickness direction, especially at the tip end sides. Therefore, hook I
When B is closed, the upward fitting groove 7 formed at the tip of the slide member 2 and the open end 1b of the hook IB are prevented from shifting in the thickness direction, and the fork part 4 and the fork part 6 are Since the slide member 2 can be prevented from falling in the direction away from the hook member 1 by fitting with the slide member 1, the open end 1b of the hook IB can be properly fitted into the upward fitting groove 7 at the tip of the slide member 1. A good meshing condition is obtained.

Since it is formed in an expanding shape, the aforementioned positional deviation can be absorbed by the expanding end portion, and the open end 1b of the hook IB can be guided and fitted into the upward fitting groove 7.
