For this reason, circuit bodies are connected by soldering or crimping, but contact resistance is high due to the use of different types of full bending, and there are concerns about long-term reliability.Problems to be Solved by the InventionCopper There is also a demand for wire harnesses that have sufficient welding strength and low contact resistance when connecting copper alloy wires, strips, etc. to each other or to terminal materials.

Means for Solving the Problems As a result of intensive research in order to solve the above problems, the inventor of the present invention has found that sufficient welding strength can be achieved by pre-plating tin on one side or with a small amount of copper alloy material to be connected. It has been found that the welding process can be easily welded without the need for setting strict conditions.

According to the present invention, a layer (plated layer) 3 with high electrical resistance is locally formed by tin plating, which promotes heat generation during resistance welding by the electrode E of the spot welding machine, causing the welding boundary to form as shown in Fig. 1. It is thought that an alloy layer 4 like that of 100% is formed, making resistance welding possible. The welding strength of this part is practically sufficient and is stable over a long period of time.

Furthermore, since a wide range of welding conditions can be used, management is easy, workability is improved, and the cost required for connection can be significantly reduced.

Embodiment In FIG. 2, both 5 and 6 are flat wire harnesses (or cables) made up of a plurality of parallel flat conductors (copper plates) 7, both surfaces of which are covered and fixed with an insulating film 8. When connecting one harness 5 to the other harness 6, first expose the flat conductor 7 of the connection part and apply tin plating, and then sandwich the insulating film 9 with holes 10 at the required welding positions. By this method, a flat wire harness branched and connected in a lattice pattern can be easily manufactured. In addition, when the electric wire is branched and connected to the harness and taken out, the electric wire may be resistance welded to the flat conductor 7.

Effects of the Invention As is clear from the above, in the wire harness of the present invention, since the connection of the circuit body is made by resistance welding, the contact resistance and reliability are greatly improved, and furthermore, the welding conditions can be widened. Since it can be removed, it is easy to manage, and costs can be significantly reduced by improving workability.
