However, in conventional carding machines, the short fibers are separated from the dots by a fly comb. Since the web lacks intertwining properties, it is difficult to maintain the web shape and transfer it to the calender roller.

However, webs of fibers that are severely lacking in entanglement tend to break laterally, and therefore tend to come into contact with the side walls of the tray and disturb both ends of the web, impairing the quality of the sliver and causing web breakage. This will significantly impair operability.

dock? Since the web torn off with a fly comb has little intertwining of the fibers, it is difficult to maintain the web shape, and the web tends to sag and break easily. According to the findings of the present inventors, in order to improve this problem,
It is advantageous to provide a receptacle with a constant elevation angle to hold the web. Furthermore, even when spinning fibers that have a large degree of shrinkage and a large number of fibers and are generally highly entangled, both ends of the web tend to be easily disturbed. This tendency becomes more pronounced as the spinning speed increases, so in order to prevent disturbances at both ends of the web, it is necessary to converge both ends of the web with a belt, or to reduce the number of dots at each end of the web.
One possible method is to use flanged rollers at these locations to prevent disturbances, but these methods require a complicated mechanism.

At the top of both ends of the side wall of the tray 4 provided between the dock 71 and the calender roller 5, a compressed air pipe 3 having an inner diameter of about 3 to 10 nm is installed.
Attach the calender roller 5 from a position several cm in front of the dower 1 to a distance of about 1Qcm (to between the straws), and make a hole of about 2 to 1Qcm in the lower side of the pipe with an inner diameter of about 1 to 5s.
At intervals of about m. The breeze passed through the compressed air pipe is blown downward from the saucer 4 through the aforementioned hole having an inner diameter of about 1 to 5 mm.

By blowing a breeze at both ends of the web, the web is excessively focused and turbulence is effectively prevented from occurring;
It becomes possible to continue manufacturing fiber bundles in a stable manner.

条件を見出すことは比較的容易である。The strength of the breeze should be adjusted by looking at the blowing conditions at both ends of the web; if it is too strong, it may blow the web from the sides and have the opposite effect, and if it is too weak, it will not have the effect of focusing the web. However, it is relatively easy to find the conditions for continuous passage by making adjustments while observing the conditions at both ends of the web.

A blended short fiber raw cotton was prepared. Then, according to the configuration of the carding machine shown in the figure, pipes with an inner diameter of 5 mm were attached to the upper part of both ends of the side walls of the receiver set at an elevation angle of 40 degrees, and holes with a diameter of 2 nm were placed at 2 cm intervals in the lower part of the pipe. After closing the web in this manner, and while spinning at a spinning speed of 5 m/min, compressed air was gradually blown out through the holes in the pipe to prepare both ends of the web.
