Abstract

PURPOSE:To make efficient operation possible by providing a kana (Japanese syllabary) keyboard by which four small kana letters [ya], [yu], [yo], [tsu] and other large kana letters excepting the four small letters are inputted when the key is depressed separately. CONSTITUTION:In a kana keyboard not shown in the figure, four small kana letters [ya], [yu], [yo], [tsu] and other large kana letters excepting the four small letters are inputted when the key is depressed separately. When a shift key is depressed simultaneously with the key, large letters of above-mentioned four letters and small letters of other kana letters are inputted. By this way, by changing handling of small letters and large letters according to frequency of appearance of above-mentioned four letters, efficiency of inputting of Japanese can be improved without changing geometrical arrangement of conventional letter keyboard.

Description

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a Japanese language input device, and more particularly to a device that improves the efficiency of Japanese language input on an input keyboard of an information processing device.

〔従来の技術〕[Conventional technology]

従来、この種の日本語入力装置は、五十音の仮名文字の
入力に際し、すべての文字について単独でキーを押した

構造の仮名鍵盤を有していた。
Conventionally, in this type of Japanese input device, when inputting kana characters of the Japanese syllabary, when a key is pressed individually for all characters, K is input as a capital letter, and one specific key (hereinafter referred to as the shift key) is input. It had a kana keyboard with a structure that allowed Japanese input by inputting lowercase letters when pressed at the same time.

〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕[Problem that the invention seeks to solve]

前述した従来の日本語入力装置は、日本語における各文

字については小文字として出現する頻度が非常に高く、
従来の鍵盤ではシフトキーを押す頻度が冒くなる。
In the conventional Japanese input device described above, all kana lowercase letters can only be input by using the shift key in combination, regardless of the frequency of appearance of each character in Japanese. However, in recent Japanese, Chinese words and loan words are used relatively frequently, resulting in the frequent use of substitutions and consonants, resulting in the words ``ya'', ``yu'', ``yo'', [''tsu ” appear very frequently as lowercase letters,
With conventional keyboards, the frequency of pressing the shift key is affected.

その為、従来装置では情報処理装置への日本語入力の効
率が低いという欠点がある。
For this reason, conventional devices have the disadvantage that the efficiency of inputting Japanese into an information processing device is low.

本発明の目的は、前記欠点が解決され、効率的に操作で
きるようにした日本語入力装置を提供することにある。
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION An object of the present invention is to provide a Japanese language input device that solves the above-mentioned drawbacks and can be operated efficiently.

〔問題点を解決するための手段〕[Means for solving problems]

を特徴とする。
The configuration of the Japanese input device of the present invention is such that when a single key is pressed, the four lowercase kana characters "ya", "yu", "yo", and "tsu" and the four lowercase letters The keyboard has a kana keyboard in which the four uppercase letters and the lowercase letters of the other kana letters are input when the shift key is pressed at the same time as the above-mentioned key. Features.

〔実施例〕〔Example〕

次に本発明の実施例について例文をあげて説明する。 Next, embodiments of the present invention will be described using example sentences.

しぜんとうたのほうそくによって (地球に生命が誕生して以来、自然淘汰の法則によって
強いもののみが生き残ってきた。)前記の例文において
、「や」、「ゆ」、「よ」、「つ」の4文字に属するも
のは下線部の6箇所であり、そのうち4箇所が 音また

(Ever since life began on Earth, only the strong have survived due to the law of natural selection.) In the example sentence above, the words ``ya'', ``yu'', ``yo'', and ``tsu'' are used. The six underlined parts belong to the four characters of ``, and four of them are sounds or consonants.

そこで、従来の日本語入力装置では、濁点、句読点を含

打鍵の計61回の打鍵を要する。
Therefore, with conventional Japanese input devices, including voiced marks and punctuation marks, input requires 57 character keystrokes and 4 shift keystrokes, a total of 61 keystrokes.

In the Japanese input device of this embodiment, the number of keystrokes of the shift key is reduced to two, making it possible to input the same sentence with 59 keystrokes, achieving a high efficiency of over 3% in the number of keystrokes. Furthermore, it is necessary to press the shift key and the character key at the same time; for example, in the JIS layout, the little finger and index finger are forced to be in an extended position, which reduces the burden on the hand more than the reduction in the number of keystrokes.

〔発明の効果〕〔Effect of the invention〕

以上説明したように、本発明によれば、従来の文字鍵盤

As explained above, according to the present invention, there is no need to change the geometric arrangement of the conventional letter keyboard, and the four characters "ya", "yu", "yo", and "tsu" can be used in Japanese. By switching the format of lowercase and uppercase letters according to their frequency of occurrence in a word, the effect of 1. improving the efficiency of Japanese input can be obtained.
