て使い勝手が良いものである。例えば、胸よりも上の高
い位置で生は垣イの天端面の刈り込み作業を行う場合に
は、主把手3及び補助把手4を下方へ回転させて自然な
姿勢で刈込み機を上方で水平に保持させることかで終、
効率良く刈り込みを行え、また膝よりも下の低い位置で
生は垣イの天端面の刈り込みを行う場合には、主把手3
及び補助把手4を上方へ回転させて自然な姿勢で刈り込
み作業を行えるのである。しかも、主把手3及び補助把
手4を回転させても主把手3と補助把手4とは一体で一
定の角度を保つため、バランスが常に一定で一層使い勝
手が良好となっている。
以下本発明の実施例を添付図に基いて詳述する。
本体1内には刃部2を駆動するためのモータ(図示せず
)が内aされており、本体1の下面前端部には刃部2が
突出させられている。この刃部2はモータにより駆動さ
れて刈り込み動作をするようにはなっているが、刃部2
全体としては本体1に固定されており、本体1に対して
角度は変化でトないようになっている。本体1の背面に
は略円柱状の主把手3が設けられており、本体1の上部
には略逆U字形の補助把手4が設けられている。主把手
3と補助把手4とは、元は別体であるが、主把手3の基
端部の二股部6を本体1の両側面に配置し、二股部6の
先部分の外縁に切欠された嵌合部7を補助把手4の基端
の枢支部8と嵌合させることにより主把手3と補助把手
4とは鈍角θ(〉90度)をなすように一体に構成され
ている。こうして、一体化された主把手3と補助把手4
とは第4図に示すようにねじ9とナツト10により本体
1のハウジング11に回動自在に枢着されており、主把
手3と補助把手4とは一体にのみ回転できるようになっ
ており、第2図に示すように主把手3及び補助把手4は
第2図に実線で示した標準位置の上下に夫々Δθ、及び
Δθ2の範囲内で本体1に対して回転するようになって
いる。なお、主把手3及び補助把手4の本体1への取付
は位置は本体1のほぼ重心位置としである。また、主把
手3の二股部6の内側面のねじ9を挿通させた孔12の
回りには環状に歯車状のロック用凹凸13が設けられて
おり、ハウジング11外面のねじ9を挿通させられた通
孔14の周囲にも環状に歯車状のロック用凹凸15が設
けられており、補助把手4の枢支部8とナツト10との
間に介挿させられた圧縮ばね16の弾性力により上記両
口ツク用凹凸13.15を圧接させて噛み合わせてあり
、主把手3及び補助把手4が不用意に回転しないように

垣イの天端面を刈り込む場合には、主把手3を上方へ回
転させると共に補助把手4を前方へ倒し、上方から低い
位置で刈込み機を保持し易くすることができる。
第5図には、刃部2の構造を示しである。刃部2は、固
定刃17の上に可動刃18を摺接させ、可動刃18の上
に被せられた〃イド片19と可動刃18との間に押えば
ね20により可動刃18を固定刃17に押圧させたもの
であり、ビス21とナツト22と〃イドブツシュ23に
より組み立てられている。ガイド片19からは可動刃1
8の表面に向けて垂片24が垂設されているが、垂片2
4の先端と可動刃18との間には第6図に示すように小
間隙δが形成されているので、〃イド片19と可動刃1
との間の抵抗が無く、可動刃1がモータにより摺動させ
られる時の摺動抵抗が小さくなっている。一方、可動刃
18が第7図のように傾いても、少し大きく傾くと可動
刃18が〃イド片19の垂片24の下端に当接してそれ
