As shown in Figures 1 and 2, this method seals the periphery of two electrode substrates 1 and 2 that have been subjected to alignment treatment with a sealing material 3, and seals the liquid crystal 4 inside to form a liquid crystal cell. Configure.

A polarizing plate 6 with a protective film 5 is pasted on the outside of the upper electrode substrate 1 of the liquid crystal cell configured in this way, and the lower electrode substrate 2 is attached.
A reflective liquid crystal display element is constructed by attaching a polarizing plate 7 and a reflecting plate 8 to the outside of the display panel. The protective film 5 is peeled off after the polarizing plate 6 is attached to the electrode substrate 1.

By the way, the alignment film and liquid crystal 4 formed on the '1-pole substrate 1.2 are very weak to DC voltage. For this reason, almost all liquid crystal display elements are driven by alternating current voltage.

On the other hand, the polarizing plates 6'' and 7 are made by adding a substance such as iodine to plastic and stretching it.As the polarizing plates 6 and 7 are made of plastic material, they are electrically insulating. For this reason, static electricity is generated and accumulated when the protective film 5 is separated or when the imprint 2 is removed after pasting on the liquid crystal cell. For this reason, the alignment film and the liquid crystal 4 are damaged by the cold air. In addition to causing deterioration of the LSI, it may also cause destruction of the surrounding LSI.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a liquid crystal display comprising two electrode substrates, the periphery of which is sealed with a sealant, a liquid crystal sealed inside, and a polarizing plate pasted on the outside of the two electrode substrates. In the display element-C1, the polarizing plate is made conductive, or
Alternatively, the protective film attached to the polarizing plate is electrically conductive.

Furthermore, by making the protective film 5 used to protect the surface of the polarizing plate 6 conductive, static electricity can be prevented from being generated when the protective film 5 is peeled off from the polarizing plate 6.

Furthermore, making the protective film 5 electrically conductive is easier because the protective film 5 does not need to be transparent because it is peeled off after the polarizing plate 6 is attached to the liquid crystal cell.

As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention, the periphery of two electrode substrates is sealed with a sealing material, a liquid crystal is sealed inside, and a polarizing plate is pasted on the outside of the two electrode substrates. In a liquid crystal display element consisting of C1, the polarizing plate is made conductive, or the protective film attached to the polarizing plate is made conductive, so static electricity generated on the polarizing plate can be prevented, and the alignment film and liquid crystal It is possible to prevent deterioration of the LSI and adverse effects on the surrounding LSI.
