ホツトストリツプをランアウトテーブル上で水

方に遮へい板を設けた冷却装置が用いられてい
た。ところが、この様な冷却装置ではホツトスト
リツプの巾が変化しても冷却巾を変えることは実
質的に不可能であり、冷却水の無駄な消費はさけ
られなかつた。この冷却巾の変更が可能なスリツ
トラミナー型の冷却装置として、特開昭53−
30912号があるが、多数存在する各スリツトノズ
ルに対してスリツトノズルの巾調整機構を持たね
ばならず、設備費が嵩むと共に冷却装置の構造が
複雑になるという欠点があつた。

水の流下が停止できる。

ノズル7を長短交互に配置して、ホツトストリツ
プの巾の変化に応じて1個置きにスリツトノズル
を選択開閉することにより、冷却能力を落すこと
なくホツトストリツプの巾の変化に対処できるも
のである。しかも各スリツトノズルには従来の如
く巾調整機構は不要となり安価にして構造簡単な
冷却装置が得られるものである。
