Nowadays, techniques have been provided that increase the functionality of electrical equipment and electronic equipment constituted by two devices by selectively connecting various types of other circuit devices to one device. Even if it becomes necessary to electrically connect a device that complies with the EIA standard and a device that does not comply with the EIA standard, there is a problem that they cannot be directly connected because the connector types are different. For example, Fig. 7(a)
If the terminal 2 of the connector of the device 1 that complies with the KEIA standard is of female type as shown in K, and the terminal 5 of the connector connected to the cable 4 of device 30 that does not comply with the KEIA standard is also of female type, then both terminals 2.5 Connection becomes impossible. Also, E.I.
It is also possible to connect two devices 6.7 that do not comply with the A standard with the male terminals 8.9 connected to them.
As shown in Figure (b) K, this is not possible. Note that 10 is a cable.

FIG. 2 is a front view of an intermediate connector that embodies what is shown in FIG. 1(a), and FIG. 3 is a side view of the same. This is a D-sub connector 19.20 that has male-shaped terminals 11.12 at both ends of a case 140, and each D-sub connector 19.20 has a terminal 11.1.
A large number of wires 2 are provided, and these corresponding parts are connected to each other by lead wires 13 within the case 14. Reference numeral 21 denotes a pair of flanges provided at the upper and lower parts of the case 14, and each of these flanges 21 has a mounting screw 22.
is screwed in horizontally, and the heads of the mounting screws 22 are knurled knobs 23, which are rotatably provided in notches 24 formed in the case 14. Further, a pair of flanges 24 are also provided at the right end of the case 14, and tapped holes 25 are bored in these.

26 and 27 are light emitting diodes of different colors facing the outer surface of the case 14, and as shown in FIG. Depending on the direction of the signal current flowing through this lead @ 13a, one of the leads lights up to display the reception or transmission status. In addition, when the EIA standard stipulates that the two lead wires 13b*13c of a specified terminal are for transmission and reception, devices of other standards may use the two lead wires 13b and 13c. When used for reception and transmission, respectively, a two-circuit changeover switch 28 as shown in FIG. 5 is provided in the case 14.

The case 14 having such a configuration is constructed by aligning the above-mentioned sub-connector 19 with a connector (not shown) previously attached to the device 1 that complies with the EIA standard, and connecting the numerous male terminals 11 in the D-shaped sub-connector 19. Insert each terminal 2 as shown in FIG. 7a, turn each knob 23, and screw the screw 22 into a tapped hole (not shown) prepared in advance in the device IK, as shown in FIG. 6. It is firmly attached to the device so that it cannot fall off. Furthermore, this installation work can be easily done by turning the knob with your fingers, eliminating the troublesome work of using a screwdriver. The male terminal 12 of the D-sub connector 20 is connected to a D-sub connector connected to the cable end of another device.
A female terminal of the sub-connector 29 is connected. Note 1
Although not shown in the drawings, each of the male terminals 11 and 12 of this intermediate connection connector is replaced with female terminals 15 and 16, thereby making it possible to connect connectors of devices that do not comply with EIA standards in the same way as above. It is. In this way, the intermediate connector A of this invention can be used as a connector that connects terminals of the same type. In addition,
When fixing the connector 20 to the device 3, the screw 21 is screwed into the tap hole 25 and a screw hole (not shown) provided in the device 3.

As described above, 1. According to the present invention, the input terminal and the output terminal are both female terminals or male terminals, and these input terminals and output terminals are connected by lead wires and attached to the case. This trap allows the input and output terminals to be connected to connector terminals of two devices that cannot be connected to each other. Therefore, it is possible to achieve the effect that, for example, a device conforming to the EIA standard and a device not conforming to the EIA standard can be connected extremely easily and quickly.
