し、給紙ローラによつて給送される用紙を、互い
に圧接している１対または複数対の搬送ローラを
介して上記レジストローラに搬送する用紙搬送装
置において、上記１対の搬送ローラに所定のロー
ラ圧を与えるための搬送ローラ加圧手段と、この
搬送ローラ加圧手段により上記搬送ローラに与え
られたローラ圧を除去するためのローラ圧除去手
段と、上記用紙の先端が上記レジストローラに送
り込まれたか否かを検知するための用紙検知手段
と、この用紙検知手段によりレジストローラに用
紙の先端が送り込まれたことが検知された場合に
ローラ圧除去手段を駆動するための駆動制御手段
とを具備することを特徴とする用紙搬送装置。 (2) 上記用紙検知手段は、用紙がレジストロー
ラに送り込まれてレジストローラから送り出され
た直後における用紙の先端を検知するものである
