小さくなつているため、内孔eを閉塞する際に弁
体fをねじ込みすぎると、前記先端部gが変形す
ることがあり、シール性が悪くなつて水洩れが生

が外部へ吐出する。冷却水の給水に際しては、第
2図に示す状態で弁体1の取付部7に給水ホース
を嵌め、冷却水を加圧状態で給排水通路3および
流水路11を通してエンジン本体内部の冷却水通
路部或はラジエータ本体2の貯水部へ給水する。
この時、エンジン本体内部の冷却水通路部或はラ
ジエータ本体2の頂部に設けられている冷却水補
給口(図示省略)は開放しておき、給水と同時に
該補給口から本体貯水部内の空気を外部へ逃す。
給水後、再び第1図に示すように弁体1を弁体取
付孔10にねじ込み、シール部4を弁座12に当
接せしめて給排水通路3を閉塞し、給水ホースを

に離接せしめて弁体の給排水通路を開閉するもの
であつて、シール時に弁体を過度にねじ込む恐れ
がないためシール部の変形を招くことがなく、シ
