Abstract

PURPOSE:The titled dentifrice, containing sodium alkyl sulfate and an N-acylglutamate together, and capable of improving the low foaming property of a dentifrice containing sodium chloride, and having preventing and remedial effect on periodontoses and further a good feeling of use. CONSTITUTION:A dentifrice, containing sodium chloride, and obtained by incorporating usually 0.1-3wt% each, preferably 0.5-3wt% sodium alkyl sulfate and preferably 0.2-1.0wt% N-acylglutamate as a foaming agent in a dentifrice containing usually 5-30wt% sodium chloride, and having improved foaming property even on incorporating sodium chloride having a preventing and treating effect on periodontoses, e.g. gingivitis or pyorrhea alveolaris, and further a good feeling of use without deteriorating a foaming assistant even in storage for a long period.

It is well known that sodium chloride has preventive and therapeutic effects on periodontal diseases such as gingivitis and alveolar pyorrhea. It is a very useful method to use sodium chloride in combination with toothpaste, and it has been clinically observed that symptoms of periodontal disease are improved by this method.

In order to improve the low foaming properties of toothpaste containing sodium chloride, anionic surfactants such as sodium alkyl sulfate and albumin are combined (Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 55-12
Attempts have been made to combine sodium alkyl sulfate with a nonionic surfactant (Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 106606/1983). There is a risk of increasing Therefore, it is desired to improve the foaming properties by adding other auxiliary agents without increasing the amount of alkyl sulfate.

However, in toothpastes that use albumin as a foaming aid, there is a risk that albumin will denature due to long-term storage, since albumin is a tan/quarium substance. Therefore, the present inventors conducted extensive research to find a foaming aid that would not deteriorate even after long-term storage and would not impair the feel of toothpaste. The present invention was completed based on the discovery that when N-acyl glutamate is combined with sodium alkyl sulfate, the foaming properties are synergistically improved, the feeling of use is good, and there is no denaturation even after long-term storage. did.

Sodium alkyl sulfate and N-acyl glutamate used as blowing agents in the present invention are both anionic surfactants. It is stated that two or more types of surfactants can be used in combination. However, the same publication states that if sodium chloride, a strong electrolyte, is blended in a toothpaste composition at a high concentration,
It is stated that the foaming effect of any anionic surfactant is significantly impaired, and that this can only be improved in combination with albumin. In a dentifrice composition containing a high concentration of sodium chloride, it is not possible to obtain a dentifrice composition with good foaming properties even if one or a combination of two or more anionic surfactants is used. This was the current level of technology.

Under these circumstances, the present inventors have found that, among many non-anionic surfactants, when alkyl anti-acid sodium and N-acyl glutamate are used in combination, the foaming properties at high altitude sodium are synergistically improved. This is an extremely surprising new finding that was completely unexpected.

Experiment 1 A toothpaste using sodium diwalyl sulfate alone as a foaming agent and a toothpaste using a combination of sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium N-lawaloylglutanate were prepared as shown in Table 1, and the foaming state was measured by the amount of foaming. I made a good judgment. Also, the amount of sodium chloride was varied in the range of 0 to 30% by weight.

Foaming 11 (WLt) - (apparent capacity (-) immediately after stirring)
- (Volume before stirring (red)) Chloride in toothpaste) The relationship between the amount of IJ wam mixed and the amount of foaming is shown in Figure 1. From this result, it was found that as the amount of lavalyl sulfate (sodium chloride is used alone, it is chlorinated) as a blowing agent, the foaming properties decrease significantly as the amount of lavalyl sulfate (sodium chloride is chlorinated) increases. When royl sodium glutamate was combined in a ratio of 3:1, the foaming property decreased very little. In Figure 1, 0-0 is a mixture of 1.5% by weight of sodium lavalyl sulfate and 0.5% by weight of sodium N-lawaloyl glutamate, and -4 is a mixture of 2.0% sodium lavalyl sulfate. shows.

According to the results in Figure 2, if sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium N-lavaloyl glutamate are combined and the foaming amount is additive, the measured values should be on the same line. However, it is actually above O-0, and it can be seen that the foaming amount increased synergistically. In addition, a combination of sodium lavalyl sulfate and sodium N-lawaloyl glutamate has a much better foaming effect than a combination of anionic surfactants other than sodium lavalyl sulfate and sodium N-lawaloyl glutamate.
