媒体からの反射光により前記記録媒体上に記録された情
報を光学的に碑取る光磁気ディスク装置において、前記
反射光を２つの偏光成分に分離して夫々対応する光検出
器に供給する偏光素子と、該偏光素子の入射面又は前記
偏光素子に前記反射光を導入する光学部品の前記反射光
のみが透過する面に貼付される１７２波長板とを備え、
該１／２波長板により前記反射光の偏波面を回転せしめ
て前記２つの偏光成分を夫々略等しく含ませる霊とを特
