The conventional balloon catheter 1 configured in this way is
The balloon 3 is inflated as shown by the dotted line 3' by sending air or waves, and is fixed by pressing against the inner wall of the body cavity, blocking the inside of the body cavity in front and behind the balloon 3, and draining the body cavity fluid through the catheter hole 5. It has become possible to collect samples by suctioning or injecting medicinal solutions.

Further, such a balloon catheter 1 is also applied, for example, to remove bile sludge or gallstones in the bile duct, but in this case, the balloon 3 has an inflated shape of a sphere or a spindle-like shape that is elongated in one diameter direction. In order to obtain the desired shape, it is only necessary to press the sludge and gallstones in the direction of the outer circumference, and it is extremely difficult to pull them out. Therefore, when air is injected into the balloon,
If the balloon is formed to inflate optimally for extraction, fold-like wrinkles will form when the balloon is evacuated, making insertion difficult and the above-mentioned drawbacks unresolved.

In addition to using the hole 16 of the inner tube 13 as a passageway for discharging gas, liquid, etc. from the body cavity by suction or injecting gas or liquid into the body cavity, as in the conventional case, In the present invention, the shape is suitably formed so that forceps can be inserted therethrough and a foreign object in a body cavity can be treated with the forceps. Next, the operation of the balloon catheter ±± according to the present invention will be described. When inserting a balloon catheter into a narrow tube such as a bile duct, as shown in FIG. 3, the outer tube 12 is pulled in the direction of arrow a relative to the inner tube 13 to stretch the balloon 14. In this way, the balloon 14 has an outer diameter approximately equal to the outer diameter of the outer tube 12.
``Since the balloon catheter has a cylindrical shape with the same outer diameter, it is extremely easy to insert the balloon catheter into the thin tube. nine
Next, while placing the tip of the balloon catheter at a desired position within the thin tube and inserting only the outer tube 12,
When air or liquid is supplied into the balloon 14 through the air supply hole 15, the balloon 14 is inflated into a predetermined shape as shown in FIG.

That is, in the past, when a foreign body such as a polyp was excised with forceps or the like under observation with an endoscope, the foreign body 22 would be compressed by a small part of the esophagus or anus and would be dropped. This is an example of extraction in such a case. In this case, when the foreign object 22 is suctioned by inhaling air through the hole 16 of the inner tube 13 and the balloon catheter is pulled out in the direction of arrow c, the inverted hat-shaped balloon 1 is pulled out.
The foreign object 22 is trapped by the bosom of the tube 4B and exits through the narrow entrance of the thin tube 21. At this time, the pressure force of the pinched portion is received by the balloon 14B and the balloon slides out to the outside, so that it will not be pulled to the entrance or left behind at the entrance, and the foreign object 22 will be easily removed.
can be extracted outside the tubule 21. Further, even when foreign objects other than polyps, such as fish bones, are pulled out from the esophagus, they can be safely pulled out without damaging the mucous membrane. In contrast to the example shown in FIG. 5, in which the foreign object 22 was held by suction, FIG. An example of inserting the foreign object 25 through the thin tube 21, gripping the foreign object 25 with the gripping member 24 of the forceps 23, and removing it from the thin tube 21 in the same manner as in FIG. 5 is shown.

This forceps device has a gripping member 24 attached to the tip via a pair of links, and the gripping member 24 is opened and closed by an operation wire (not shown) connected to the links. It is something. By inserting such forceps 23 into the hole 16 of the inner tube 15 of the catheter, the foreign object 25 can be grasped by the gripping member 24 and removed from the outside of the thin tube 21 as in the case of FIG. In addition, polyps (not shown) protruding into the tubules can be pinched and removed. In each of the above embodiments, the balloon catheter was inserted directly into a thin tube inside the body cavity, but since the thin tube usually branches from the deep part of a large diameter body cavity tube, It is extremely difficult to directly insert a balloon catheter from outside the body cavity.

The entrance 43b of the forceps channel 43 opens at the distal end surface of the forceps insertion section 42 provided on one side of the operation base 41b of the endoscope 41. Therefore, the balloon catheter 51 of the present invention inserted into the forceps channel 43 has flexibility corresponding to the curvature of the channel 43. At the base 51b of the balloon catheter 51,
An air supply vibrator 53 of a balloon air supply device (not shown) is connected thereto, and the distal end of the base 51b serves as an operating section 54 of the balloon catheter. The distal end portion 51a of the balloon catheter is constructed in the same manner as shown in FIG. 2, and is inserted into a thin tube 62 branching from the body cavity 61 in the state shown in FIG. 3. Note that the forceps channel 4 of the distal end portion 41a of the side-viewing endoscope 41
In the vicinity of the outlet 43a of No. 3, a well-known observation window (not shown) and an illumination window (not shown) are arranged facing the protruding direction of the balloon catheter, and the illumination is provided through the windows. Light is projected, and the vicinity of the opening of the thin tube 62 is observed by the illumination through the eyepiece 44 of the base 41b. After the distal end of the balloon catheter 51 is inserted into the thin tube 62 in this manner, the foreign matter inside the thin tube 62 is removed by the same method as in the case of FIGS. 4 to 6 above.
Note that the balloon air supply hole 15 of the catheter in the above embodiment has both inner and outer tubes 12 and 13, as shown in FIG.
It is also possible to utilize the gap 17 between the two and use it as the feed hole 15.
