PURPOSE:To prevent sand from leakage in time of projecting a casting as well as to reduce the occurrence of dust in and around a shot blast unit, by tilting upward a sand check plate being tiltably installed in position beneath an end part at the doorway side of an apron conveyor. CONSTITUTION:In time of casting projection onto an apron conveyor 4 inside a shot projection chamber 2, a sand check plate 10 is tilted upward by extension operation by a cylinder 14, while sand to fall plumb down with the turnover of a plate 6 at a turnover part of an end part at the doorway side of the apron conveyor 10 is received by this uptilted sand check plate 10, making the sand slidingly drop on a bottom plate 2a of the shot projection chamber 2, and any leakage of the sand from an opening lower end part 3a of a casting doorway 3 is kept back with the sand check plate 10.
