Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

In a shock absorber in which a piston rod and a cylinder are connected and inserted into a vibration transmission system, a large number of concave and convex portions are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the piston rod at regular intervals in the stroke direction thereof, and the uneven portions are formed at different positions in the piston rod stroke direction. The magnetic sensor is made up of a yoke having a pair of legs facing the uneven portion, a magnet that generates stray magnetic flux between the legs and the uneven portion, and a coil that individually detects these stray magnetic fluxes. A stroke detection device for a shock absorber, wherein the concave portion is filled with a wear-resistant non-magnetic material.
