Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent copied pictures from deteriorating their quality and copying paper from jamming, wrinkling and staining accompanied with copying by exhausting hot air, which is generated from a heat roll of a fixing unit, from an upper duct through numbers of punched holes provided on a chute before hot air comes in contact with an exposing unit. CONSTITUTION:In the way where copying paper is conveyed, numbers of puched holes 8 are provided in a paper guiding chute 7 which is located over units starting from a transfer unit attached to an exposing unit 3, a heat roll 5 of a fixing unit 4 to a pressure roll 6. This enables hot air, which is generated from the heat roll 5 and originally flows toward the exposing unit 3 along the chute 7, is bound to flow routing upward over the chute 7 as shown by the arrow head, and subsequently to flow toward an upper duct 12 through an outlet 10 attached to the upper duct 12, and finally to be exhausted out of the machine 1 through the duct 12 by means of an upper fan 11. Thus, vacuum effect generated prevents copying paer from falling down from the chute 7, accordingly can prevent it completely from jamming, wrinkling and staining accompanied with copying.

ャールール6との間にガイドする役割をさせていた。し
かしながら、当該用紙ガイドシュート7を紡速のように
感光体3の転写部と定着機4との間に配置することは、
定着時におけるヒートロール5が発生する熱気が用紙ガ
イドシュート7に沿って図中矢印に示すように対流し、
感光体30表面と接触しながら機械本体lの下方に配置
した遠心送風機8により【オゾンフィルター9を介して
機外へと排気されるため、感光体3の表面が温度上昇し
て当該感光体の寿裾やコピーの画質等に重大な影響を与
えたり、或は前記ヒートロール5の鍾直方向へのエアフ
ローを強くしてしまって用紙な一規定の搬送路より脱落
させ、これが原因で紙ジヤムや紙しわ及び画質の汚れ等
を発生させてしまうといった欠点があった。

の転写部から定着[4のヒー)P−ル5とプレッシャー
ロール6との間に搬送されて来るとき、当該用紙に対し
バキューム効果を発揮するので用紙は該用紙ガイドシュ
ート7部で脱落することはなくなり、従って核部におけ
る紙ジヤムや紙しわ及びコピー汚れ等といったことの発
生もはぼ完全に防止できるといりた効果を有する。
