A semiconductor memory cassette holding device in which a semiconductor memory cassette can be inserted into and removed from a cassette accommodating portion through a cassette insertion/ejection opening is provided with a locking pawl that can move forward and backward in a direction substantially perpendicular to the cassette insertion and removal direction;
A hole is formed in a side wall parallel to the cassette insertion/removal direction of the force-fitting accommodating section, and the locking claw is inserted into and removed from the cassette accommodating section by advancing and retreating into the hole, and the locking claw is inserted into and removed from the cassette accommodating section by moving back and forth. The locking claw is biased into the cassette accommodating part by a spring, and the locking claw can be inserted into and engaged with the locking recess of the cassette inserted into the cassette accommodating part to hold the cassette.
