Claims (1)
部軸とが自在継手で連結され、前記上部軸を回動自在に
保持する上部コラムに接続固着した上部ブラケットと前
記下部軸に外嵌し、かつ、車体部分に装着された下部コ
ラムに接続固着した下部ブラケットとが、それぞれに有
する両側板を相互に重合し、その間に内蔵する前記自在
継手のほぼ中心に対応する所要箇所において回動可能に
結合されたチルト式ステアリング装置であって、一方の
ブラケットは、その両側板に挿通され、回動及び軸方向
の摺動可能に軸支されたプ′ツシュロツドと、該ロッド
に固着され、かつ、ハンドルのチルト位置を設定する複
数個のロック孔を穿設した設定板を、該ロック孔が臨む
長孔を穿設した一方の側板側へ付勢する加圧手段と、前
記ロッドの一端に回動可能に連結され前記ロッドに回動
及び前記加圧手段に抗した軸方向の移動を与える操作レ
バーと該操作レバーをハンドルのチルト位置に対応した
角度に係止する操作レバー位置選定手段と、両側板に挿
通し、前記長孔を有する側版に加圧手段により付勢され
ているが、先端に円錐部を形成する先端部を軸に設けた
制止手段で所定寸法突出するロックロッドとを備え、他
方のブラケットは、前記長孔を介してロック孔に嵌合す
るロックピンと、前記ロックロッドの先端部を嵌入し、
かつ、該ロッドの円錐部を操作レバーの動作により内部
に沈ませる皿取りした嵌合用孔とを設けていることを特
