Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to reuse a platen by changing the direction thereof when it is abraded or dented, by a method wherein a flat plate form platen is deviated against the axis of movement of a printing head, and is so fitted that it can be detached or changed in direction relatively to a bracket. CONSTITUTION:A paper 5 is supplied to a predetermined position on the platen 1 in the condition of being clamped between a pair of rollers 6, 7, and a one- line portion is printed on the paper 5 by performing impacting actions while moving the printing head 2 in a direction orthogonal to the feeding direction of the paper 5. In this case, printing is conducted by the head 2 at positions deviated from the center of the platen 1. Therefore, even when the platen 1 is abraded or dented due to the impact of the head 2, an unused surface of the platen 1 can be brought to an impact position by removing screws 4, then rotating the platen 1 by 180 deg. or reversing it and refitting it. Accordingly, the same platen can be used plural times.

If b, then a = b. Although the platen 1 is made of a wear-resistant material such as ceramic, the impact of the print head can cause wear and tear on the platen 1.
When a dent occurs, according to the conventional configuration, there is a problem in that the platen 1 needs to be replaced with a new one, which requires expensive maintenance costs.

In order to achieve the above objects, (1) the printing apparatus of the present invention positions the platen so that the axis of movement of the print head is offset from the center axis of the platen; A feature of the invention is that the same platen can be reused by changing the orientation of the platen even if the platen is worn or dented due to the impact of the print head. Embodiment FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the present invention. In this embodiment, a flat platen 1 is removably attached to a bracket 6 with screws 4, and a print head 2 is connected to the platen 1Vc.

is located at a position offset from the central axis of the platen 1. That is, if the distances from the movement axis of the print head 2 to both the left and right ends of the platen 1 are a and b, the relationship is a+b. In addition, the platen 1 has two screw holes 4A,
4B are formed point-symmetrically, and each screw hole connects platen 1.
If the distances to both ends of 0 are c and d, then there is a relationship c=d.

Paper transport rollers 6.7 and paper guides 9 are arranged on both sides of the platen 10, and the paper 5 is held at the Q+ position on the platen 1 while being held between the pair of rollers 6.7. Supplied o1. The print head 2 performs an impact operation while moving perpendicularly to the paper conveyance direction, and prints a uniform amount on 50 sides of the paper. One predetermined line can be printed by feeding the paper and tapering the above printing operation.

Next, FIG. 6 shows another embodiment of the present invention.1-0 In the same figure, the same reference numerals indicate the same members as in the previous embodiment. The difference in construction from the previous embodiment is that the platen 1 is circular in shape, and a screw hole is provided in the center of the platen 1. A screw 4 is added to the C bracket 6. According to this embodiment, if the platen 1 becomes worn or dented, a new continuous surface can be provided by simply loosening the screw 4 and rotating the platen 1.

Note that in addition to the above embodiments, any structure may be used as long as the platen is removably attached to a displaced position, and it is not necessarily possible to remove the platen from the V-shaped bracket. 11 is good if it has a configuration that allows it to be moved from an eccentric position to another eccentric position (7th position) without the need to discard.
