PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the drop of a fuel tank due to the rusting of a tank fitting section by forming a projection extending downward near the tank fitting section on a protector. CONSTITUTION:In case a fuel tank 1 drops, the front side of the fuel tank 1 drops downward with the tank fitting section B on the rear side serving as a rotating center, the front side coupling flange 2 of the fuel tank 1 gets into contact with the lug 20 of a protector 10, the front side lower corner section of the fuel tank 1 is brought into contact with the bent piece 21 of the protector 10, and the front side of the fuel tank 1 is kept in a state to be supported by the protector 10. Thereby, such a condition can be avoided that the fuel tank 1 drops to hit the ground, and the fuel leakage or a fire caused by the drop accident of the fuel tank 1 can be completely prevented.

料タンク1の前側に配設されるディファレンシャルケー
ス、10は車両衝突時に燃料タンク1とディファレンシ
ャルケース9との干渉を防止するために、燃料タンク1
とディファレンシャルケース9との間を仕切る平板状の
プロテクタ、11及び12は上記プロテクタ10をマウ
ントメンバ4fに取付けるだめのボルト及びウェルドナ
ツト、13はリヤエンドクロスメンバ、14はリヤパネ
