When printing, the gap between the paper surface to be printed and the print head is maintained constant by pressing a print receiving member from the back side of the paper against a positioning member placed at a predetermined gap from the print head. This is effective in producing high-quality printing.

If the paper is inserted for this reason, there are disadvantages such as incorrect introduction or contact with the passage opening and the inability to feed the paper correctly. An object of the present invention is to improve the above-mentioned disadvantages,
To provide a paper guide mechanism for a printing machine which is improved in operability and prevents jamming when inserting and discharging paper.

In FIG. 2 below, the positioning members 4 and 5 are disposed in the same plane, and the gap between the printing head 2 and the plane including the surface in contact with the printing surface of the paper 7 is maintained by a certain amount during printing. be maintained and maintained. Usually, the above-mentioned gap is a very small amount of 0.311 to 0.5 m1 in the case of an impact printing type dot printing head. The opening 30 formed by the positioning members 4 and 5 has a width sufficient not to inhibit the movement of the print head 2, and the pressure receiving surface of the print receiving member 8 is formed by the opening 3.
It has a width larger than 0, and has a structure that can be elastically biased and brought into contact with the lower surfaces of the positioning members 4 and 5. 9,10
1 is a roller for feeding the paper, and the roller 10 is elastically biased to constitute a known feeding means in which the paper 7 is pressed against the roller 9 so as to sandwich the paper 7 therebetween.

The support member 13 is fixed to a through shaft 14 that is supported by the frame 1 . In the following FIG. 3, the shaft member 12 is the support member 1.
The spring member 15 is loosely fitted into the long hole 13a formed in the opening 3, and the spring member 15 is suspended between the shaft member 12 and the support member 13 in the longitudinal direction of the long hole 13a.
0 (shown in FIG. 1), the guide member 11 is configured to protrude into the paper feeding space 1a. In Fig. 1 below, reference numeral 16 denotes a drive member, one end of which is pivotably supported by a pin 1b implanted in the frame 1, and supported in a recess 16a formed at the other end. It is loosely engaged with a drive pin 13b fixed to one of the members 13. Further, the driving member 16 is connected to an electromagnet device 17 disposed on the frame 1.
When an excitation voltage is applied to the support member 13, the support member 13 can be rotated clockwise via the drive pin 13b. A return spring 18 is suspended between the bent portion 1c of the frame 1 and the holding member 13, so that the holding member 13 can return to its original position when the electromagnet device 17 is de-energized. る。Further, by fixing the reed relay 21 corresponding to the permanent magnet 19 to the frame 1, a detection means for detecting the position of the guide member 11 via the holding member 13 is configured.
That is, (see FIG. 2 below) the support member 13 is connected to the return spring 18.
The stopper 4b is energized and fixed to the positioning member 4.
When in contact with the reed relay 21, the reed relay 21 becomes a closed circuit due to the action of the permanent magnet 19, and in this state, the print head 2 becomes movable for printing. In this configuration, when the paper 7 is pressed against the positioning members 4 and 5 via the print receiving member 8 by a drive means (not shown), the guide member 11 is moved along the path of the print head 2 by the detection means. After confirming that it is waiting in a position where it will not cause any interference, the print head 2 is moved for printing. When the print is recorded on the paper 7 and the print head 2 returns to its original position,
The print receiving member 8 descends to release the paper 7 from the positioning members 4 and 5. At the same time, if a voltage is applied to the electromagnet device 1r, the support member 13 is biased clockwise via the drive member 16. Thus, as shown in FIG. 3, when the guide member 11 blocks the passage opening 30, the rollers 9, 10 can cooperate to feed the paper 7 by drive means, not shown. If the paper 7 is fed to the printing position while being held between only one group of rollers 9 and 10 as shown in this figure, the leading end 7a of the paper 7 is held by a guide member 11 that protrudes into the feeding space 1a. expertly guided by the passageway opening 3.
The paper is fed without jamming due to contact with the end face of the paper. When feeding of the paper 7 is completed, the power supply to the electromagnet device 17 is stopped, and the guide member 11 is biased to the print standby position by the action of the return spring 18. Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 2, the reed relay 21 becomes a closed circuit again, making it possible to indicate that the guide member 11 is not present in the path of the print head 2. As is clear from the above description, according to the present invention,
It is possible to realize an impact-type dot matrix printing machine that can print on recording media with different paper thicknesses.

The original function of the dot matrix printing machine, which is high-speed printing, can be fully utilized. Furthermore, in order to prevent the paper guide means from interfering with the running of the print head and damaging the printing machine, the paper guide means should be protected even if an unexpected power failure occurs due to a power outage to the drive source, circuit damage, etc. can be automatically returned to the print standby position by a return spring, and also has the advantage of having a detection means that allows easy confirmation that the guide means is in the print standby position.
