When making a decorative molded product in which areas outside of the decorative parts of the molded product are painted to improve its appearance, first plate the entire surface of the molded product, and then apply the coating to the decorative parts. The method used was to mask the surface and paint the entire surface. In this case, in order to separate the masked decorative parts such as letters from the painted surface, at least Q, 5
It was normal to take a step higher than a fight.

In addition, this method has the drawback that even if only a part of the decorative molded product is to be formed with a plated decorative part, the entire molded product must be plated, which increases the cost of the product. It is an object of the present invention to provide a decorative molded product that can be made down.

Decorative parts 2 such as arbitrary characters and patterns are formed protrudingly on the face plate, and leg parts 3 of the lower face plate are protrusively formed. Next, as shown in FIG. 1(b), a masking 4 is formed on the upper part of the decorative part 2 by nickel electroforming, and as shown in FIG. 1(c), A coating film 5 made of acrylic vinyl chloride resin is formed on the surface, and then the masking 4 is removed as shown in FIG. 1(d), and the exposed decorative portion is removed as shown in FIG. 1(e). A decorative body 7 is formed by forming a plating film 6 made of metal such as chromium on 2.

When setting the decorative body 7, the decorative body 7 is fixed to the cavity 11 of the lower mold 10 with double-sided adhesive tape or positioning pins. And as shown in FIG. 4, the decorative portion 9 of the decorative body 7 is exposed on the surface of the molded product main body 12.

In addition, in the present invention, since the plating film 6 is partially provided on the decorative portion 2 of the decorative main body 1, compared to a decorative molded product where a plating film is formed on the entire surface of the decorative main body 1, the Since the boundary between the decorative body 1 made of molded product and the molded product body 12 is similarly coated with a resin coating 5, the adhesion is improved. In addition, due to repeated thermal shock tests, in the case of a fully plated product, separation is likely to occur at the boundary between the top surface of the decorative body 1 and the molded product body 12, but with a partially plated product (4), the plated part is separated from the decorative part. Separation at the boundary will occur (become thicker) if it is placed only near the top surface of 2 (approximately 0.5 to 1 depth).

On the other hand, in the case of a fully plated product, adhesion between the adhesive tape and the resin or chromium plating film is required, so there is a problem in the performance reliability of the adhesive tape used for both metal and resin. Furthermore, in a partially plated product such as the one of the present invention, the plating film having a large specific gravity can be reduced, and as a result, the weight of the product can be reduced.

It is possible to improve the sense of unity between the decorated surface and the other surfaces, and also to increase durability, and also to reduce weight and cost.
