Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

In a gas cock that opens and closes the flow of waste by rotating the operating knob, the gas flow path is equipped with a safety shutoff valve that closes with gas pressure due to overflow of waste. A closure is arranged so that the flow direction and the axial direction of the closure are parallel, a valve seat is formed in the waste flow passage so as to face the end face of the closure, and a valve body that can open and close the valve seat is attached to the valve. A gas cock with a safety device comprising a valve body drive mechanism which is placed on the closing side of the seat and separates the valve body from the valve seat only when the closing valve is fully opened, between the valve seat and the closing valve.
