Abstract

PURPOSE:To read originals impossible for separation such as book by contacting closely a reading element array onto a document, moving a reading section in a direction at a right angle to the element array and transferring a picture signal to a storage device at each prescribed distance of movement. CONSTITUTION:The original reading section 21 is placed at the end of the original, moved at a right angle to an image sensor in the direction of the other end, and a picture signal of one scanning line read by the image sensor at each prescribed distance of movement according to a signal generated from a moving position detecting section is transferred to the storage device 23. Then, the reading for one screen's share is performed.

Conventionally, an image reading device in a facsimile or the like uses a fixed one-dimensional reading means 1 as shown in FIG.
1, the original 10 is moved in a direction perpendicular to the one-dimensional direction (
The image was read by moving the roller 12 in the direction of arrow A). Therefore, the only documents that can be read are those that have been cut out and separated one by one, and there is a drawback that documents that are bound by books or staples cannot be read.

FIG. 2 shows a first embodiment of the invention. In FIG. 2, this embodiment is a facsimile image reading device in which the reading section is manually operated, and includes a document reading section 21 that scans and reads a document 20, and a storage device 23 that stores image signals for one document. It further includes a transmitter main body 24 equipped with a storage device, and a cable 25 connecting the original reading section 2 and the transmitter main body 24. The original reading section 21 is the third
As shown in the figure, the moving roller 2 is placed on the surface that will be in close contact with the original.
6 and a close-contact image sensor 27 that converts image information of one scan into an electrical signal, and a moving position detector 27 that detects the moving position (distance) in conjunction with the moving roller 26' is installed inside. A section 28 is provided.

Furthermore, with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5, the document reading section 2
1 and the electric circuit of the storage device 23 will be described in detail.
A moving position detection pulse a from the moving position detecting section 28 in the document reading section 21 is sent to the line counter 41. The line counter 41 counts the clock pulses C from the clock generator 42 and sends out a pulse bi with a desired pulse width. AND gate 43 outputs this output pulse b
, the gate is opened and the clock generator 4
The transfer lock C' (for example, 2048 pulses) from 2 is supplied to the image sensor 27 and the address counter 44. The image sensor 27 transfers the image signal of the original and sends it out bit by bit in response to the lock C', and sends out one scanning portion to the storage device 23.

Every time the document reading section 21 moves by one sub-scanning line density, the pulse a from the movement position detection section 28 is detected by the line counter 41.
Then, the address counter (lower) 44 is reset, and the address counter (upper) 45 is counted by one. The address counter (lower) 44 sends out the output pulse b again, and the address counter 44 starts counting again, but the address counter 45 counts the count value by one and then turns the knob.

Next, FIGS. 6 and 7 show a second embodiment of the present invention. In FIG.
2, a support panel 39 that supports the document reading section 32, a guide rail 35 that guides the document reading section 32,
The facsimile transmitter main body 34 is electrically connected to a document reading section 32. The document reading section 32 is further provided with a moving motor, and the document reading section 32 is automatically moved.
The support panel 39 is configured to be movable, and is provided with a hinge or the like so that it can be moved up and down so that the document reading section does not get in the way when setting a document. When reading a document, first place the document 30 in front of the main body 34, rotate the support panel 39 in the direction of arrow C as shown in FIG. Begin to. Similarly to the first embodiment, each time the camera moves a certain distance according to the signal generated from the moving position detection section, the scanning image signal read by the contact image sensor is transferred to the storage device in the main body, and the scanning image signal for one screen is is read.
