Claims

A cartridge holder, into which a cartridge containing a flexible magnetic disk can be inserted and removed, is rotatably supported by a rotating shaft provided on a fixed frame, while an opening/closing lid supporting a butt that presses the disk toward the magnetic head is attached to the cartridge holder. The cartridge holder is rotatably supported by another rotation shaft provided on the fixed frame, and includes interlocking means for interlockingly rotating the cartridge holder and the opening/closing lid, and is perpendicular to the disk surface in the recording/reproducing state. A mounting device for a flexible magnetic disk cartridge, in which the distance from the virtual plane to another rotation axis of the opening/closing lid is longer than the distance from the virtual plane passing through the magnetic head to the rotation axis of the cartridge holder.
