Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to fix various type of vehicle wheels having different bolt pitches and to reduce cost by a method wherein the spacer in the form of a disk is fixed to a brake drum with screws and the vehicle wheel is fixed to the spacer by means of tightening members. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined number of fixing bolts 15 are fitted about a wheel shaft 11 so that the bolts project outside the brake drum and the spacer 17 in the form of a disk is fixed to the brake drum 13 by means of the bolts passing through the spacer 17, and nuts 23. Further, a support disk 45 is formed integral with the internal surface of a disk section 41 of the vehicle wheel 35 so that the wheel 35 is supported by the disk 45 when the wheel 35 is fixed to the spacer 17. The support disk 45 is provided with grooves 49 for receiving the nuts 23 and throughholes 51.
