A compensating conductor is connected to a heat-sensitive part containing a thermocouple wire through an electrical insulating material to a metal tube with excellent heat resistance and corrosion resistance that is sealed at one end. In a thermocouple-type high temperature sensor molded with a molded resin layer, the connecting part between the thermocouple element wire and the compensating conductor is held by a guide groove made of an insulator made of the same material as the molded resin layer, and both ends are connected to the heat sensitive part and the compensating conductor. The thermocouple type high temperature sensor is made by holding the above-mentioned insulator with a holding body fixed to it.
