Abstract

PURPOSE:To fit a base cup and a biaxially stretched bottle bottom without leaving compressed air between them even though a vent is not provided in the bottom of the base cup, by loosely fitting the base cup onto the bottom of the biaxially stretched bottle after the base cup is molded but before the base cup is cooled, and then cooling the base cup. CONSTITUTION:A dome-shaped synthetic resin base cup 6 having a depending cylindrical leg 7 is loosely fitted on the bottom of a biaxially stretched bottle the bottom wall 2 of which is extended down into a semispherical shape, with the circumferential wall 8 of the base cup engaged with the lower section 3 of a bottle barrel 3, after the base cup 6 is molded and before it is cooled. Then the base cup is cooled so that the base cup 6 is contracted and the circumferential wall 8 is tightly fitted on the lower outer surface of the bottle barrel 3 thereby the bottle 1 and the base cup 6 are fitted. EFFECT:If the bottle is put into cold water, the water can not enter the space between the bottle bottom and the base cup. The fitting is positive and ready.

Biaxially stretched bottles can save material by thinning the wall, and
Since it is possible to reduce the strength of the bottle, it has become rapidly popular in recent years, but if the bottom wall is completely flattened as in the past, it is difficult to biaxially stretch the bottom wall. For this purpose, the bottom wall of the bottle is bulged downward into a spherical shape, the bottom wall of the bottle is stretched biaxially, and a separate bowl-shaped synthetic resin base cup (also called a hakama) is fitted to the bottom of the bottle. However, if an air vent hole is not provided in the bottom wall of the base cup, compressed air from pushing the bottom of the bottle will tend to remain between the bottom of the bottle and the base cup, which may prevent the base cup from fitting properly. Air vent hole 1 above is incomplete and easily comes off. If the bottle is installed, place the bottle in cold water to cool the stored liquid, etc.
When the bottle is lifted up after a certain period of time, the cold water that has entered between the bottom of the bottle and the base cup is gradually drained out, resulting in poor drainage. The present invention relates to a method for preventing compressed air from remaining between the base cup and the bottom of the bottle, regardless of whether the base cup is fitted to the bottom of the bottle. 2 is the bottom wall, 3 is the body, and 4 is the shoulder attached to the upper end of the body, and the camp 5 is screwed into the mouth part raised from the inner peripheral edge of the shoulder. The bottom wall 2 is For biaxial stretching, it is formed to bulge downward into a spherical shape.A downward step 2a is formed between the bottom wall periphery and the lower end of the body, but it is not necessary to provide it.

6 is a base cup made of synthetic resin. The base cup is shaped like a bowl, has a leg tube 7 hanging from the bottom, and has a circumferential wall 8 that expands due to the upward force, and only the upper end 8a of the circumferential wall is formed to have the same diameter all over the top and bottom. After molding and before cooling the base cup, the inner diameter of the upper end of the peripheral wall is somewhat larger than the outer diameter of the lower end of the bottle body, and when cooled, it shrinks and the outer diameter of the lower end of the bottle body expands. It is provided so that the diameter is smaller than the diameter.

After the base cup is molded, it is loosely fitted to the bottom of the bottle prior to cooling. In this state, the inner diameter of the upper end of the peripheral wall is larger than the outer diameter of the lower end of the bottle body, so the air inside the base cup is provided so as to escape through a gap created by the difference in diameter. By cooling from this state, the base cup contracts, and the upper end portion 8a of the peripheral wall
Since the diameter of the base cup is smaller than that of the lower end of the body, the upper end 8a of the peripheral wall of the base cup is tightly fitted to the lower end of the body. Regardless of whether an air vent hole is formed in the wall, compressed air does not remain between the bottom of the bottle and the base cup, and the peripheral wall of the cooling base cup is tightly fitted to the bottom end of the bottle body. 1. Even if the bottle is placed in cold water, cold water will not enter between the base cup and the bottom of the bottle.
Therefore, there is no problem with drainage, and the tight fitting of the base cup circumferential wall to the lower end of the bottle body can be done reliably and easily by utilizing the shrinkage caused by cooling of the base cup.

A biaxially stretched bottle tray with a spherical bottom bulging downward is formed in advance, and a bowl-shaped synthetic resin-covered base cup 6 with a leg cylinder 7 hanging from the bottom is attached to the bottom of the bottle. After molding and prior to cooling, the peripheral wall 8 of the base cup is loosely fitted into the lower end of the bottle body 3, and after the loose fit, the base cup is completely cooled, and the outer surface of the lower end of the bottle body is caused to shrink due to the cooling. A method for fitting a base cup to the bottom of a biaxially stretched bottle, which is characterized by tightly fitting the circumferential wall of the base cup.
