Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a coil spring from moving in radial direction by providing a vibration-proof seat fitted into the coil spring for vehicle suspension with projections engaged with internal sides of the coil spring. CONSTITUTION:A vibration-proof rubber seat 6 has a conical stand-shaped convex part 6a on the underside face of a flat part 6e, and a peripheral face of part 6a forms a taper face. The plural number of triangular projections 6c, outer faces of which run parallel with the inner side of a coil spring 5, are provided on said taper face intermittently in the peripheral direction. Further grooves 6b are radially provided on the upper face of said seat 6, while a hole 6d is made in the center of the seat 6. Due to the hole 6d, even if the upper end of the coil spring 5 is separated from the flat part 6e of the seat 6 because of an incoming vibration, the spring 5 does not move in radial direction relative to the seat.

An example of this kind of vehicle suspension system that has been out of date is a full trailing arm type rear suspension as shown in FIG. The two ends of this bifurcated body are engaged with a cross member (not shown) on the vehicle body side via a rubber bushing 2 so as to be able to turn vertically, and the other end is connected to a steering knuckle (not shown) via a steering knuckle (not shown). A hub 6 is rotatably engaged with the knuckle spindle.
holds a wheel (not shown) using its pole 3a. A shock absorber 4 and a coil spring 5 are provided near the wheel side of the trailing arm 1 between the vehicle body side and a shock absorber 4 (the upper end of which is connected to the vehicle body side via an insulator rubber). Moreover, the lower end is fixed to the trailing arm 1 via a rubber bush.

- Fits into a circular groove 1a formed in the ring arm 1;
Its upper end engages with a rubber seat 6 of a vibration damper, and is supported by the vehicle body (not shown). As shown in FIG. The coil spring 5 is inserted inside the spring 5 to engage the coil springs 5 and 6, and to position the coil spring 5 in the radial direction. A groove 6b is formed radially on the upper surface of the seat 6, and this upper surface engages with the vehicle body to elastically fix the seat 6 to the vehicle body. 7 is a bound stopper, which is connected to the trailing arm 1.

When the wheel side vibrates in the vertical direction, the shock absorber 4 acts to damp the vibration input, and the coil spring 5 acts as a buffer by twisting each part of the coil, and the seat 6 is compressively deformed. By doing so, the vibration of the coil spring 5 is damped. In this way, vibrations on the wheel side are suppressed from being transmitted to the vehicle body side.

However, in such a conventional vehicle suspension system, the convex portion 6a of the seat 6 is simply shaped like a truncated cone, and the circumferential surface thereof is simply a tapered surface. , when the end of the coil spring 5 and the seat 6 separate during vibration input, the concentricity of both 5 and 6 is lost, and the coil spring 6 becomes biased, as shown in Fig. 1 (6). As shown by the chain line in , if one side of the end of the circular coil spring 5 is closer to the lower end of the tapered surface, that is, the part with the smaller diameter, the coil spring 5 and the vehicle body may
There was a problem with interference. Furthermore, if the entire convex portion 6a is made to have the same diameter in order to prevent this, there is a problem in that it is difficult to engage the spring 5 with the convex portion 6a on the vehicle body assembly line.

This invention was made by focusing on such conventional problems, and solves the above problems by providing a plurality of protrusions in the circumferential direction on the circumferential surface of the convex portion that engage with the inside of the coil spring. It is an object.

The seat 6 is fixed to the vehicle body side in advance, and the upper end of the coil spring 5, whose lower end is previously engaged in the groove 1a formed on the upper surface of the trailing arm 1, is engaged with the seat 6. In this connection, the seat 6, which descends integrally with the vehicle body, is attached to the upper end of the coil spring 5, while the coil spring 5 is guided by the tapered surface of the convex portion 6a and the outer surface of the protrusion 6C. When the wheel side vibrates in the vertical direction while driving, each coil part of the coil spring 5 twists, causing
The entire coil spring 5 expands and contracts, thereby providing a buffering effect. At this time, since the inside of the upper end of the coil spring 5 is engaged with the protrusion 6C having an outer peripheral surface parallel to the inside of the coil spring 5, the upper end of the coil spring 5 is moved from the flat part 6e of the seat by vibration input. Even if they are separated, they do not move relative to each other in the radial direction. In addition, an extremely large external force
When the wheel side is pushed up, the bound stopper 7 passes through the hole 6d and collides with the vehicle body side, absorbing the impact.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a second embodiment of the invention. This is a claw 6f that protrudes outward at the lower end of the projection 6C.
The coil spring 5 and the seat 6 are integrally provided.
After the coil spring 5 is assembled, the coil spring 5 is prevented from coming off the protrusion 6C due to a slight impact. The other configurations and operations are the same as those of the first embodiment. In addition,
Although this embodiment uses a trailing arm type vehicle suspension system, it can also be used with other types of vehicle suspension systems such as a Wissbone type or the like.

As described above, according to the present invention, a plurality of protrusions that engage with the inner side of the coil spring are provided on the circumferential surface of the convex portion in the circumferential direction, so that there is a gap between the inner side of the coil spring and the outer periphery of the convex portion. The gap is always kept the same and the coil spring does not move radially relative to the seat. Therefore, by eccentrically moving away from the seat due to the coil spring vibration input, it is possible to prevent interference between this and the vehicle body side or wheel side. Moreover, by appropriately selecting and setting the outward dimension of the protrusion, even for coils with different inner diameters, the same seat can be used because the difference in diameter can be absorbed by the deflection of the protrusion. You can get the effect that you can.
