DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention is applicable to base materials such as wood, in which the surface has fine irregularities due to conduits, etc., and penetration of adhesive to a non-negligible extent occurs when a decorative sheet is applied. This is a method of laminating sheets using a mechanical method, and on the one hand, the decorative sheet can be attached not only to flat substrates but also to substrates with curved surfaces such as edge materials. Regarding how it was done.

Conventionally, decorative sheets with beautiful wood grain patterns have been attached to base materials such as plywood, particle board, inorganic materials, and wood to create a good appearance and a sense of luxury for use as construction and furniture materials. There are many problems in manufacturing such imitation veneers or wood.

Therefore, when the amount of adhesive is small, the penetration of the adhesive into the base material is insufficient, which tends to cause a peeling phenomenon after pasting.

An increase in the amount of coating on the back side of the decorative sheet will lead to roughness of the coated surface, which may cause wrinkles and misalignment during mechanical lamination, and may cause blisters and bubbles to form in the adhesive layer when drying.

As a countermeasure, it is possible to sufficiently heat the adhesive layer and pre-dry it before bonding, but heating may cause thermal deformation to the decorative sheet.

This thermal deformation occurs most significantly when the base of the decorative sheet is a thermoplastic synthetic resin such as a vinyl chloride resin film, but it is unavoidable to some extent even with other materials such as resin-impregnated paper or board.

Such thermal deformation not only reduces the luster on the surface of the decorative sheet, but also causes distortion of the decorative sheet, which causes a phenomenon of returning after application, causing the decorative sheet to lift or peel. It is something.

This phenomenon is particularly noticeable when the decorative sheet is attached to a base material having an uneven surface, such as a border material.

However, as a result of extensive research, the present inventors found that the above-mentioned problem of thermal deformation can be avoided by pre-drying in a relaxed state without applying tension, and furthermore, when pasting, the decorative sheet It is necessary to apply tension to prevent slippage and wrinkles,
As a countermeasure to this problem, the inventors have discovered that once the pre-dried decorative sheet is cooled, tension can be applied without any problem, and that the decorative sheet can therefore be attached to any base material by a mechanical method, leading to the present invention.

That is, the present invention is a process of applying a large amount of solvent-based adhesive to the back side of a decorative sheet based on a board, resin-impregnated paper, thermoplastic composite or resin film, etc., in a state where no tension is applied such as on a belt conveyor. A process of heating and drying the adhesive layer on the back side of the decorative sheet using a heating device while transporting the decorative sheet using a transfer device capable of transporting a sheet-like object, followed by cooling the decorative sheet using a cooling roll and applying tension to align the decorative sheet. It is characterized by comprising a step of applying the decorative sheet to an arbitrary base material by reheating to activate the adhesive layer and immediately pressing the decorative sheet to the base material using a pressing jig. This is a laminating method.

In this case, it is preferable to use an adhesive with a high solids content relative to the solvent, for example, one with a solids content of about 50 parts, since this will prevent unevenness in the appearance of the adhesive and the edges.

Subsequently, the decorative sheet 1 is placed on a belt conveyor 5 and conveyed, passing through a heater box 6 to which heated air is supplied, thereby heating and drying the adhesive layer on the back surface of the decorative sheet.

Furthermore, since the heater box 6 is a heating device that introduces hot air into the compartment, the decorative sheet 1 is uniformly heated from its surroundings, and bending that tends to occur due to local heating can be suppressed as much as possible.

The present invention is as described above, and makes it possible to attach a decorative sheet to a base material with excellent adhesive permeability by a mechanical method, which was previously considered difficult. This is applicable not only to flat substrates but also to substrates with uneven curved surfaces, and by performing pre-drying, it is possible to reduce the time required for adhesion, especially the time and equipment required for drying after adhesion. The present invention is extremely superior in that lamination can be performed rapidly.
