Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent incorrect use due to the alteration of an identification card, by scanning owner's own picture such as a sign, a photograph of face, or the like formed on the card, recording the picture signal on a prescribed recording medium and comparing the recorded picture signal with that of the sign, photograph of face or the like obtained by scanning at the use of the card. CONSTITUTION:At the issue of an identification card 1, a picture recognizing device 25 scans a photograph 3 of face and a sign 5 which specify the owner of the card 1 and a picture signal obtained by said scanning is recorded in a host computer 21 for a terminal device 22 at a window processing the card 1 together with its card number 4. At the use of the card 1, a picture recognizing device 25 scans the photograph 3 of face and the sign 5 of the card 1 through a prescribed scanning line and a picture processor 24 processes the obtained picture signad and applies the processed signal to the computer 21 together with the card number 4 from a keyboard 26. The computer 21 compares the output level of picture signal with the one recorded at the issue of the card 1, and when both the picture signals are dissident with each other, the computer determines the card 1 as incorrect use, preventing the incorrect use of the card 1.

詳細に説明する。
The present invention has been made to satisfy such a need, and its purpose is to detect a forged signature on a certificate card or a forged image such as a facial photograph. The purpose of the present invention is to record an image signal obtained by scanning the above-mentioned image on a predetermined recording medium at the time of card issuance, and to record the image signal obtained from the recording medium by scanning the front B-6 image when using this identification card. By comparing the image signal obtained by signal calling and this scanning with the image signal read from the recording medium, the presence or absence of forgery of the front cylinder image is detected. The present invention will be explained in detail below based on embodiments of the drawings.

When issuing such a certificate card 1, as is clear from FIGS. 2 to 4, a facial photograph 3 and a famous person's 5 artworks are scanned by a recognition device 25 to identify the owner of the card, The resulting signal is then entered into a predetermined recording medium, for example, the memory of a host computer 21 having a terminal 22 at the counter where this certificate card 1 is handled, along with the card number 4, the name of the recipient, etc., entered from the keyboard 26.

Record. , 1 To further describe the recording of this signal, as shown in FIG.
The light reflected from this surface passes through the acoustic lens 14 to the light receiving element 1.
2.For example, form an optical system such as that shown in Figure 3 (a).
K Signature 5 and - Photo 3Y4j as shown! Cut the scanning line 15Ke to adjust the irradiation position of the light from the light source 11 so that it can be scanned, and then by moving the identification card 1 relative to the optical system, the position from the light receiving element 12 is set as shown in Figure S. (b) KL [! ! The IgII signal is output and input to the ms processing device 24. Signature 5 has no intermediate tones, so it is output in white or black, but the face photo 3 part is a signal with gradations, so for example, a comparator (not shown) set to comparator level control 16 is output. Through this, there is a binary signal of millet or black (Fig. 3 H), this. . 71.

That is, the signature 5 and fist photo 5'lJi of the identification card 1 are scanned by the stamp 25, and the image processing bag 924 performs similar signal processing to obtain an image signal. At the same time as this process, the corresponding person at the handling counter manually enters the card number or owner's name from the keyboard 26, calls the card's = * flaw signal from the host computer, and receives the l11i'gI signal obtained by this scanning and the host computer. The image signals called up from the computer are compared by the arithmetic processing unit 23, and if the two signals match, it is determined that the signature 5 and face photo 3 of the certification card are normal and have not been altered since the card was issued. On the other hand, if the two signals are different, the certification card is signed 5.
It is also possible to detect a small piece of face photo 3 that has been modified in some way. In this way, only the certificate card whose signature 5 and face photo 3 are determined not to be forged will be used for identification based on the signature 5 and face photo 3.

As described above, according to the present invention, if the image of the ID card that identifies the owner using an image unique to the owner, such as a face photo or signature, is tampered with, this can be easily and reliably detected. This can prevent forgery of this type of certification card and unauthorized use of the certification card.
