Conventional sealed relays, as described in Utility Model Publication No. 48-28125, are housed in a relay cover with the terminals of the relay body facing upward, and the base is heated in the relay cover, and the opening of the relay cover and the outer surface of the base are sealed. In this type of sealed relay, the molten plastic flows into the relay body from the fitting gap between the relay cover and the base, causing the relay body to be sealed with 4km of molten resin. They stick or adhere to relay contacts, causing poor contact, and the solidified surface of the molten synthetic resin becomes uneven, resulting in poor finished appearance.

The base 1 is formed by molding a synthetic resin material. The relay body 2 has a plurality of relay terminals 3.3, such as contact terminals and coil terminals, arranged vertically. The relay cover 4 is generally formed into a shaft shape by molding a synthetic resin. Pellets 5 are semi-hardened Evo Chishi resin. Note that powder may be used instead of pellets, or other synthetic resins may be used.

First, the pellet 5 is placed on the inner surface of the base 1, and
Insert the terminal hole 1al of the relay body 2 from the inner surface of the base to the outer surface #c, and insert the relay cover 4 onto the relay body 2 from above to close the relay. 1. Place the main body 2 into the relay cover circle, fit the base 1 to the inner peripheral surface of the relay cover, and then 1. Place the entire relay in a heating furnace in this state and heat it at 120°C for 10 minutes to semi-harden it. The pellets 5 in this state are once melted. The molten synthetic resin flows in the opposite direction to the relay main body 2 due to gravity, settles in the gap between the relay cover 4, the base 1, and the relay terminal 3, and solidifies by cooling to seal the space between them. That's what I do.

In this way, the sweet acid *& does not flow into the relay main body 2 direction, so there is no adverse effect on the relay main body 2, and since the outer surface of the synthetic resin pellet 5 is covered with the base, its appearance is also good.

As explained above, according to the method of manufacturing a sealed relay of the present invention, semi-hardened synthetic resin pellets 5 or powder are placed on the circular surface of the base 1, and the base 1 is placed in the terminal hole 1a of the base 1.
Insert the relay terminals 3, 3... from the inner surface to the outer surface of the relay body 2, and insert the relay cover 4 onto the relay main body 2 with the relay terminals 3 facing downward, and insert the relay cover 4 into the J4 wall inside the opening of the relay cover 4. With the base 1 fitted to the base 1, semi-hardened synthetic resin pellets and powder were melted to seal the parts 3, 3..., the base 1, and the relay cover 4. There are two features of this structure: it has no adverse effect on the relay body and provides a good finished appearance.
