Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized side temple of glasses which can be folded, by forming a part or the whole of the side temple up to its center with a superelastic alloy. CONSTITUTION:Junction parts 3 and 4 of a front 1 and a side temple 2 are formed with closing block joints, and the side temple 2 is joined to the front 1 so that the side temple can be folded. The side temple 2 consists of a superelastic Ti-Ni alloy; and even if the side temple 2 is deformed beyond its elasticity limit, the side temple 2 is restored to the original shape when the external force is removed. Consequently, the spectacles can be stored in a thin case where the spectacles having a conventional temple side cannot be stored.

本発明のテンプルを図面に示す実施例に基づいて説、明
する。第1図及び第2図に示すように、フロント1とテ
ンプル2の接合部3.4をそれぞれはさみちょう番とし
て形成し、テンプル2を折りたたみできるようにフロン
ト1に結合する。テンプル2は超弾性を示すTi−Ni
合金であり、弾性限度以上の変形が与えられても、外力
を除くと元の形に復原する。したがって、従来は到底不
可能であると思われていたような薄いサックに収納する
ことができる。

の端部におねじ部フを形成し、それに対するアルミ製テ
ンプル部材2“の端部にめねじ都8を形成ルミ製テンプ
ル部材dの端部にかしめ軸穴10を形成し、両者をかし
めて結合する。第3図ない1〜第5図の実施例のアルミ
製テンプル部材2′は超弾性合金製テンプルtiLl材
5に基づく弾性とアルミ拐の自然発色性の両長所を兼備
する。

弾性合金製テンプル部材の後端部にアルミ製テンプル部
材を固定接続したことを特徴としてなる特許請求の範囲
第1項記載の超弾性合金を使用した眼鏡のテンプル。
