Abstract

PURPOSE:To erase a latent image surely and securely, by using a discharge tube light source, which emits light only with gas, to irradiate a photoreceptor concentratedly. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor 6 is irradiated concentratedly with the light from a discharge tube 13 as a light source which is stored in a housing, whose inside face 11 is a black or white specular surface, and emits light only with gas. This discharge tube 13 which is different from a discharge tube applied with a phosphor, having a short afterglow time after switching-off is used to erase a latent image thoroughly and securely.

In the copying operation as described above, if there is a gap between the Jl draft 1 and the registration guide 3 that performs the purchasing of the blessings, a shadow corresponding to the gap between the scissors is projected onto the photoreceptor, and as a result, # A black area (black streak) will appear at the leading edge of the copy obtained.

As a measure to prevent this phenomenon, attempts have been made to whiten the leading edge of the copy by attaching white tape to the top and bottom surfaces of the platen glass 2 near the leading edge of the lead edge. In some cases, the tape creates a shadow and does not serve the desired purpose. As another measure, a light source 10 called an inter-image lamp (abbreviated as IL) can be used to irradiate the plaster with light to erase the manuscript as described above. erases the latent image caused by the shadow in the gap between the resist guide and the resist guide,
As a result, the leading edge of the resulting copy is whitened to prevent black streaks from appearing.

However, the rung conventionally used as an IIL consists of a discharge tube or tungsten lamp with a phosphor coated on the inside, and it takes a long time for the scene to completely disappear even after the input to the radio is stopped. Therefore, the leading edge of the copy is whitened more than necessary. For example, even if you try to erase only the latent image caused by the shadows mentioned above by irradiating light with a width of three columns on the area corresponding to the leading edge of the resulting copy, in reality it will not be possible to erase the latent image caused by the shadow. The light is irradiated over a distance of approximately !m, and the density of the lens itself near the tip, which is to be photographed in close-up, decreases, resulting in a single-digit image.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to correct the above-mentioned drawbacks in the prior art, to reliably erase the black part visible on the destination FA#l of copying, and to do so without affecting the person attempting to copy. The purpose is to provide an IW image erasing crab between art bonds.

The present invention has the property that a discharge tube with only a gas light source without coating with a II light body has the property that when the input is stopped, the light intensity immediately decreases and no afterglow is emitted. This is based on the discovery that when used as an inter-image gap erasing device for a copying machine, one black portion at the leading edge of a copy can be accurately and accurately removed.

Thus, according to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a device for erasing the space between the drawings of a copying machine, which is characterized in that it uses a detonator that emits only gas and is not coated with a light source as a light source.

以下、図面に沿って本発明を更に説明する。The present invention will be further described below with reference to the drawings.

In the case of a conventional discharge tube coated with fluorescent material (indicated by symbol A in the figure), the continuous light intensity decreases from the time the input is stopped (point A in the figure). In the case of the discharge tube used in the present invention that emits only gas and is not coated with a phosphor (indicated by a symbol in the figure), the amount of light decreases almost immediately when the input is stopped. By the way, the fall in the light intensity when the input is stopped is about Q m5ec in the case of a detonator using a conventional phosphor, whereas it takes about 4 ms in the case of a discharge tube without a phosphor. @c.

Thus, in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an inter-picture chamber constructed in such a way that a discharge tube without phosphor coating is housed in a suitable housing so that the light emitted from the discharge tube can be irradiated in a concentrated manner. My equipment is provided. FIG. 2 shows the concrete side of such an apparatus of the present invention. In the device shown in the figure, a discharge tube 13 is disposed within a housing 16, and the inner surface 11 of the housing on the side in the rotational direction of the photoreceptor 60 is black, white, or mirror-finished, and the inner surface 12 facing the first surface 11 is black. 15 is a DC current conductor, and 14 is a switch. Further, 16 is an aperture for irradiating light. StW of this light irradiation aperture is determined according to the width of the tip latent image to be erased. As shown in Fig. q, the light emitted from the latent image erasing device of the present invention configured in this way has a light amount distribution (indicated by a solid line in the figure) that is similar to that of the conventional erasing device fl.
The light intensity distribution at K (indicated by a broken line in the figure) is more concentrated than K, and is characterized by a particularly sharp rise in the light intensity at the end corresponding to the inner surface 11. In the embodiment shown in Figure 1, a DC power source is used as the power source for the discharge tube, but an AC power source can also be used, but in this case, the sharpness of the rise in the amount of light at the end will be less sharp. However, it does not have a significant effect in practice. As described above, since the inkjet erasing pot of the present invention irradiates the large area very intensively, the iW of the area corresponding to the leading edge of the copy is
Bones can be effectively erased.

In other words, if we use the disadvantage ν of the present invention, the minute 11 which corresponds to the leading edge of a copy! [(usually -~31n) is reliably whitened, and the color itself to be copied does not affect the density. The figure ¥3 is intended to explain such an effect, and graphically shows the change in density near the leading edge of a copy when a jet black Ws is copied. As can be understood from the figure, a copy obtained using the apparatus of the present invention (indicated by a solid line in the figure) is different from a copy obtained using the conventional apparatus as described above (indicated by a broken line in the figure). In contrast, the copy tip (indicated by B in the figure)
The white area is reliably whitened within a certain width, and the boundary between the white area and the original image area is sharply distinguished.
