Abstract

PURPOSE:To use a titled camera as both a single-lens reflex camera for a silver salt film and an electronic camera, by providing a finder part consisting of a solid image pickup element and a thin display plate, on a position of a finder screen surface, so that it can be switched to a focusing screen. CONSTITUTION:In case of using as an electronic camera, a quick return mirror 2 is fixed to a position shown by a full line, and a finder part 6 is placed in a finder optical system as shown in the figure. In this case, an image formed on a solid image pickup element 6a is reproduced on a display plate 6a through a processing circuit 7, is observed through a pentaprism 3 and an eyepiece 4, and also the image on the solid image pickup element 6a is sent to a recording device and is recorded and saved. In case of using as a single-lens reflex camera for a silver salt film, the same single-lens reflex camera as a conventional one is constituted by releasing the fixed state of the quick return mirror 2 and switching to a focusing screen 8.

Recently, electronic cameras using solid-state image sensors such as COD and MOS image sensors have been attracting attention because of their advantages such as saving money and being able to play back images immediately after taking pictures. However, silver halide film is far superior in terms of sensitivity and resolution of the image sensor. Therefore, from the user's perspective, it would be convenient to have a camera that can be used with both silver halide film and solid-state image pickup devices, which takes advantage of the unique advantages of both silver halide film and solid-state image pickup devices.

In view of the above points, the present invention aims to provide a single-lens reflex camera that can be used both as a silver halide film single-lens reflex camera and as an electronic camera. To explain this, 1 is the photographic lens, 2
3 is a quick return mirror, 3 is a pentaprism, 4 is an eyepiece, 5 is a film surface, 6 is a solid-state image sensor 6a disposed at the position of a focus plate in a general single-lens reflex camera, and a thin display plate 6b. A part of the viewfinder, 7, is a processing circuit to which a signal from the solid-state image sensor 6a is input and outputs an image reproduction signal to the display plate 6b.
is a general focus plate arranged so as to be switchable with the finder part 6.

The camera according to the present invention is constructed as described above, and when used as an electronic camera, the quick return mirror 2 is fixed in the state shown in the figure, and the finder part 6 is arranged in the finder optical system as shown in the figure. do it. At this time, the image formed on the solid-state image sensor 6a1 is transmitted to the processing circuit 7.

The data can be stored in the processing circuit 7 and further sent to a recording device (not shown) for recording and storage. When used as an eye reflex camera for silver halide film, by releasing the fixation of the quick return mirror 2 and switching to the focusing plate 8, a single eye reflex camera similar to the conventional one can be constructed. In this case, the finder portion 6 may be used as is without switching to the focus plate 8.

As described above, according to the present invention, the mirror can be used as both an eye-reflex camera and an electronic camera with a simple operation of fixing or releasing the mirror and switching to part of the viewfinder or focus plate. It is very effective because it is possible to take advantage of the unique advantages of each method and switch between them as necessary.
