Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce heat and noise generation in a system where a couple of left and right axles are linked by a differential clutch and one of the axles is joined with a drive shaft by a deceleration gear mechanism contained in an oil chamber by housing the differential clutch in the oil chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A drive shaft 5 connected to an output shaft 4 by a transmission mechanism 3 is horizontallly disposed at the rear of a transmission case 2 behind an engine 1. In the rear of the drive shaft, a couple of left and right axles 7 respectively having symmetrical left and right wheels 6 are linked by a differential clutch 8. One of the axles 7 is joined with the drive shaft 5 by a deceleration gear mechanism 10 put in an oil chamber 9. Respective inside ends of said axles 7 are stuck into each other.
