Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent dieselling by providing an electromagnetic valve in the pressure system to a pressure-reacting device provided in a bypass passage for exhaust gas returning and opening the electromagnetic valve simultaneously with the interception of an ignition device for returning exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: Intake and exhaust manifolds 4 and 5 are connected with each other via a bypass passage 14 provided with an EGR valve 6 for returning exhaust gas. A pressure chamber 8 of a valve 6 is connected to a sensing negative pressure intake port 16 in the upper stream of a throttle valve 3 via a pipe 17 provided with an electromagnetic valve 18 on one side, and to the intake manifold 4 via a pipe 21 provided with an electromagnetic valve 22 and a reservoir 20 on another side. The electromagnetic valve 18 is opened by the operation of an ignition device 18 for normal returning, while the electromagnetic valve 22 is opened by the interception of the ignition device for returning exhaust gas for a fixed time after the intermission of an engine.
