Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the recovery efficiency of slime and obtain clean electrolyte by withdrawing the bottom part liquid of an electrolytic cell continuously, and clarifying the liquid settled and separated of slime with a filtering device.
CONSTITUTION: Slime 3 and electrolyte 2 in an electrolytic cell 1 are introduced into a settling vessel 8, where the slime 3 and the electrolyte 2 are separated. Next, the separated slime 3 is fed to a treating process 4, while the overflow liquid of the vessel 8 is fed to a liquid storage tank 9. Thence, the liquid in the tank 9 is filtered with a filtering device 5. At this time, the filtrate is returned into the tank 9 until a primary filter layer is formed on filter cloths, and the clean electrolyte is withdrawn after the formation of the primary filter layer.
