Abstract

PURPOSE:To blow fluid from the entire part of nozzle parts under uniform pressure and suppress blow back phenomenon by connecting distribution chambers of cross sectional areas larger than those of slitlike nozzle parts to said nozzle parts, and making the distribution plates therein and the openings of fluid supply piepes concentrical. CONSTITUTION:A tuyere 1 is disposed in the bottom wall part of a composite blowing furnace F, and the fluid supplied through this is blown into the furnace. The tuyere 1 consists of respective nozzle parts 11, 12, distribution chambers 21, 22 and supply pipes 31, 32 for refining and stirring fluids. The nozzle parts 11, 12 are both of a slit shape in the cross section and are respectively superposed and disposed concentrically on the inside and outside. The chambers 21, 22 are both of a cylindrical shape, and are disposed concentrically by leaving a required spacing on the inside and outside respectively. The pipes 31, 32 are both circular pipes, which are disposed similarly to the chambers 21, 22 and are opened respectively into the chambers 21, 22. Fluid enters the chamber 21 through the pipe 31, collides against a distribution plate 23, is uniformly distributed to the circumference, enters the inside of the nozzle part 11 uniformly from the half on the leading end side of the chamber 21 and is blown from the leading end thereof into the molten metal under uniform pressure. The fluid from the pipe 32 is also collided against the cover of the chamber 21 and is blown in a like manner.
