Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the pulse response characteristic, by providing a vibration diaphragm in the center of a stuck piezoelectric vibrator and by fixing the peripheral part of the diaphragm elastically to a case by a buffer material.
CONSTITUTION: A vibration diaphragm 13 consisting of a metal or a resin is fitted to a coupling shaft 12 provided in the center of a stuck piezoelectric element 11 consisting of piezoelectric ceramic. The peripheral part of the diaphragm 13 is fixed elastically to the inside face of a cylindrical case 17 by a buffer material 20 which is formed into a ring and consists of an elastic rubber or the like to suppress mechanical vibration. The diaphragm 13 and the stuck piezoelectric element 11 are supported in the center of the case 17 by the buffer material 20.
