Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain good impedance matching characteristics throughout a transmission band, by cascading a simple LPF to an HPF to prevent the degradation of the caracteristics in respect to realization of a high-pass filter (HPF) of the LC constitution. CONSTITUTION:In the HPF part surrounded by the dotted line, when the characteristics are determined, values of capacities C1-C7 and coils L1-L5 are determined. Next, when the LPF part indicated by the line broken by one dot is designed, the value of the capacity is determind in view of values of floating capacities (known in respective coils) C1S. C2S, C3S, C4S and C5S of coils L1- L5. That is, if the total capacity of floating capacities C1S-C5S is not sufficient to obtain the desired characteristics of the low-pass filter (LPF), the capacity corresponding to this deficiency is added actually. If the total capacity of floating capacities is sufficient to obtain the desired characteristics, a capacity Co is not added actually.
