Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a print transfer apparatus untilizing a Lorentz's force highly reliable with a simple construction without need for high voltage by arranging a drive electrode block dipped into a conductive ink between magnetic field generators with a pressure generator and the like.
CONSTITUTION: Opposite drive electrodes 7 and 8 dipped into a low temperature melting conductive ink 9 are arranged between magnetic field generators for generating a magnetic field intersecting the drive electrodes. Then, when a magnetic field is applied on the surface of a paper from the surface to the back thereof with the magnetic field generators and current flows in the direction 7 from the electrode 8, the ink 9 through which the current flows receives a downward Lorentz's force. Under such a condition, a pressure balancing the downward Lorentz's force and a surface tension of the ink 9 is applied from the back with a pressure device 10 to shift the direction of the current from 7 to 8 when writing. Thus, the upward Lorentz's force works on the ink 9 so that ink drops fly overcoming the surface tension whereby a dot is formed on a recording paper 12.
