Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily measure the dimension in a minimum digit or below, to remove a quantization error, and to improve both the measuring accuracy and the working accuracy, varying the phase of an input signal to a counter in accordance with an angle of rotation of a multithrow potentiometer. CONSTITUTION:An input sine wave signal to a terminal 1 is applied directly and through a polarity converting circuit 3 to a sine and cosine potentimoeter 5, is multiplied by a sine signal and a cosine signal, respectively, which are decided by an angle of rotation theta of a potentiometer P, and each result of multiplication is provided to a subtracting circuit 8 and an adding circuit 7, respectively. Also, an input cosine wave signal to a terminal 2 is applied directly and through a polarity converting circuit 4 to a sine and cosine potentiometer 6, is multiplied by the sine signal and the cosine signal, respectively, which are decided by the angle of rotation theta of the meter P, and each result of multiplication is provided to the circuit 8 and 7. Subsequently, each sine wave and cosine wave signal which is out-of-phase from the circuit 7 and 8 is applied to a counter 9, and a counting value is digitally displayed by a displaying circuit 10.
