Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain highly efficient water heater utilizing solar heat collected using water as a heating medium, by using a collector made of a flexible material capable of increasing its internal capacity by deformation and elastic piping made of rubber, or the like, to absorb expanded volume from the heating medium, when it is frozen.
CONSTITUTION: The solar heat collector 1, made of synthetic resin such as polyethylene or stainless sheet metal, having non-circular cross section or the like, in its water passage, is connected to a heat exchanger 3 by elastic pipings 4 made of rubber or polyethylene, or the like. The solar heat is received and collected by a collector, while the water in the passage of a collector is heated, and the heated water is fed into a heat exchanger 3 by natural convection, with its expanded volume being absorbed by an expansion tank 5. The water in a water tank 2 is heat-exchanged by a heat exchanger 3, and the water cooled is naturally circulated to a collector 1.
