Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled ink providing a material to be printed with sufficient chroma and color concentration without causing clogging at the nozzle part of an ink jet printing device, comprising specific amounts of a water-soluble dye, a specific compound as a humectant, and water.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 0.2W15pts.wt. water-soluble dye (direct dye, basic dye, etc.) of yellow, magneta, cyanogen, black is blended with (B) 1W50pts.wt. compound shown by the formula a[R is alkyl (preferably methyl, n-propyl, n-buthyl, etc.), substituted alkyl (preferably hydroxymethyl, methoxymethyl, etc.); X is O or S]as a humectant and (C) water, to give the desired ink. Sodium dehydroacetate as a mildewproofing agent is preferably added to the ink.
EFFECT: Both chroma and color concentration will not change with time.
