Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the electron conductivity and the consumption rate of positive active material while Li<+> conductivity is maintained, by forming positive active material of an Li solid battery with a solid solution consisting of CdI2 and one or more of elements selected from In, Ga, Tl, Cu, Ag, S, Se, and Te. CONSTITUTION:In an Li solid battery in which positive active material, electrolyte, and negative active material of Li-metal are laminated, th positive active material is formed of solid solution in which one or more of metals selected from In, Ga, Tl, Cu, Ag, S, Se, and Te are solid-dissolved in crystal lattice of CdI2 as a resistive material. The content of these elements in the solid solution is assigned to 1ppm or more in atomic concentration. Because of the presence of a trace amount of metals in CdI2 in the form of solid solution, the electron conductivity of the positive active material is improved without preventing the feed of Li<+> to CdI2, and the energy density or output density of a battery can be increased entirely.
