Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable recticular erythrocytes to be automatically counted and indicated, by a method wherein ultraviolet luminescence or transmission light is detected through the treatment of a blood, the sum of the number of platelets and the number of erythrocytes is classified separately from the number of recticular erythrocytes for the detection, and the number of erythrocytes, the number of platelets, and the number of recticular erythrocytes are inputted from the other for the operation. CONSTITUTION:After a transparent film base 2 is applied with a dying reagent after passing through a reagent tank 3, a solvent is evaporated in a dryer 4 by means of a fan 8. A sample blood is dropped on a film 2' coated with the reagnet from a pipette 5, and after a cover film 6 is placed over the film 2', a blood is rolled in a thin layer by a roller 7, and the blood on the film 2' is irradiated from an ultraviolet source 15. A coloring light of lencocytes, emitting light through the excitation resulting from the passage through an ultraviolet cut filter 18, a coloring light of the platelets are reflected by a half-mirror 20 to a light receiving element 24 for the amplification, and the coloring light of the recticular erythrocytes is reflected by a half- mirror 21 to a light receiving element 24 for the amplification. An operation circuit, receiving the number of erythrocytes, the number of lencocytes, and the number of platelets from other measuring device, is then caused to receive and operate to indicate the number of recticular erythrocytes or the ratio of the number of recticular erythrocytes to the number of erythrocytes. This detects the trouble on the number of recticular erythrocytes for the diagnosis of a blood trouble.
